Lets see your lovely pets :)

aww how adorable Teddy, those are just lovely, I love their names too.

Ah... this may well open a Pandora's box with me. I run an animal sanctuary so there's like... 8 bazillion animals who live here. Hmm, who first, Mom wonders?

Oh, well duh. PONIES! YAH!

This is Lady Jewel and her son Ponyta. Jewel was rescued with a group of other ponies from starvation and abuse. She has been at the sanctuary for four years and because of the tortures she has suffered, Jewel and the others in her group will never be adopted out. Ponyta however, was born on the farm just a tad over a year ago. He is training now to become a therapy horse and he will work with autistic children. He is a shy fellow, but loves kids. He's going to be a champ at his job.

From the left: Lady Jewel, Ponyta, in the back is Buddy, the black mare is Misty, then Princess Sparkle and Princess Twinkle.

Aside from Ponyta and Misty, these Pony all came in together, fleeing a horrid home where they were allowed to be hungry and sick. Some show signs of physical abuse. Missing from the picture is Beauty who was behind me when I took this, and Studmuffin who lives with other ponies elsewhere on the farm. This was taken this weekend, they were waiting for their dinner. They were amazingly well behaved!

Dinner is serious business here, and something I still have to be careful with. Breakfast is laid back, because they haven't been awake long. They get hay and 12% creep (a livestock ration) and go out to graze. At dinner though they are a little aggressive and kick each other. And me if I get in the way. I assume this is a throwback to when they remember being hungry. Ponyta, Misty and Beauty were all born on the farm so they have no bad times to remember, so they're my good guys.

Sadly two other ponies, Bebe and Flicka came in with this group but could not be saved. I like to think they're somewhere with lots of green grass and happy. For the short while I had them, they were sweet, gentle girls who deserved far better than what they received.

Next will be pics of the missing Beauty, Stud Muffin and our two resident horses!

Ooo... Slinky is so sleek and beautiful! Looks to be the mischievous type too.

Great Dane! Aw! One of my top five! I used to have lovely Danes. They're such good dogs. Bob is so handsome! I wanna hug him!

Pepper and Cinnamon are too sweet! They're gonna be flat out gorgeous when they're grown. I just love ducks!

Who am I kidding? I love ALL critters!

:ponylove:

Ooo I love everybody's pets! Especially the duckies! I used to have ducks as a kid and one of they was named Cinnamon, too. I've only had hamsters the past few years. Here's my last two boys- Tuchka, my dark little cloud, and Sir Didymus, my foxy colored cutie:

Squeeee! I love them! I'm huge on rodents and all I have now are regular mice and African spiny mice. I wish I had time to get more little buddies!

Y'know. I may need therapy.

Oh wow everyone's pets are so adorable! <3 I'm absolutely fawning over Pepper and Cinnamon. I grew up on a farm and now I live near the city so I miss my childhood ducky friends.

As for my pets I'm down to 4 furry, and one scaly, babies now.

This is Baby Trooper and Pigarus. Pigarus was a rescue and we bought Trooper from a local couple to keep him company. They're both named after Iron Maiden songs. They're my therapy animals so they often get to go out and about with me.

I also have two rescue kitties and a beta fish who seems to live forever.

I love your little crabs! I bought one at a souvenir shop once, feeling sorry for it because he was alone. Got him home, he escaped two days later. Didn't find him for months until I pulled out my cleats and there he was, dead in my shoe.

I buried him, threw away the shoes and never owned another crab out of guilt.

Poor ol' Crabcakes.

Now that I've got some pictures, I thought I'd post them! :)

So first is our beagle, Kipper. She is almost 13 years old, and very mellow. (as this picture clearly illustrates)

And then I also have a pet ferret named Bullet. She is 4 and never stops moving! The picture isn't very good, but it can be hard to get a decent picture of these things!

We have so many beautiful animal pals here! Loving these photos!

Oh sweet, sweet duckling! I keep trying to talk my fiance into getting a duck to live in our apartment. He is steadfastly against it and I would feel bad if it couldn't play outside.

Thank you! ^-^

Ducks make great pets, but not so much indoors. They poop every 15 minutes and can't be litter trained. Not so much fun in an apartment, lol! (Although, there are some people who do have House Ducks that wear "duck diapers" that apparently work well.) I hand-raise mine in the house, but only for the first month. Then they move out to the Duck House. I do take the little ones outside several times a day to run around and forage, and also to get some fresh air and sun. One of the perks of living out in the country I guess. :)
