...at Gingerbread's house! There's ponies over here and treats over there and snow everywhere!!
Friday it started to snow here in Virginia...in December! Which is just unheard of! I was thrilled! Mostly because I had the day off and was home cooking and baking for a holiday party at my house that evening. It was SO nice to have all the Christmas decorations up and everything lit up. The music was on and as I got ready and friends came we had the most pretty snowfall! I wish I would've taken more pictures but I was too busy enjoying myself. I made loads of appetizers and this pretty Gingerbread trifle...now that I did take a pic of
It was SO good! And while they were there, I had to show all my friends my pony room Christmas display! I had 2 extra rooms from a Paradise Estate that I couldn't get rid of, I'd tried giving them away but I don't think anyone wanted to pay the shipping on them and I couldn't bring myself to throw them out of course. Hubby had the brilliant idea of having a holiday display, since I usually put up a pony Christmas tree and set out all my Christmas-y ponies in the pony room. So I cleaned it all up and found some doll house pieces that I thought would match and voila! I also got a new fiber-optic Christmas tree cause I needed something a little bigger. They both fit perfectly on top of a shelf in the pony room!
Saturday, a friend and I drove up to the mountains for a little shopping and to see a Christmas play. Driving up through the mountains was so beautiful, though we got about 3-4 inches of snow the roads were fine so it was just enough to make all the trees beautiful. I would've been taking pictures if I weren't trying to keep my eyes on the road! I did take some pics finally Sunday, but at that point the snow was starting to melt, for some of you who haven't had any snow yet, here is a little to get ya by.
Just thought I'd share some Christmas fun! Hope you guys are feeling festive too
