I really hate to do this... But I strongly feel that over on the Arena there are so many rules. I have to be 16 to swap trade or even GIVRAWAY something. Like that's kind of sad. Why can't you make your own judgment on who to trade with... I am kind of hurt by this the one lady was a little rude in my mind about it. So I will no longer be on the Arena.... But I'll still be here! I just kind of wanted to get all of that out.... Sorry for the rant... Does anyone else feel that way? That you should be able to make your own judgement on who to trade with and things like that?

You have to be 16 to do trades etc here too:

Secondly, you must be 16 years old to participate in transactions (such as buying, trading (including swaps), selling, and using the Friendship Freebies board, as well as custom and art sales or commissions).

I know it feels very strict and maybe even unfair but there's a good reason for every rule the Mods have. Just hang in there, you'll be able swap/trade before you know it:)

Honestly I was happy here. And I still am so I'm just going to stay here. And maybe in April I will go back. I don't mind the rules it's just how I was informed about them very rudely. I have feelings too...

I understand the 16yr rule I think its a good idea. You will be 16 soon enough :D. I saw how they spoke to you on the arena though I did think it was rude tbh, there are ways to put a rule across without sounding... rude.

And it wasn't like I had been there for a long time I had just joined.... It fine though they just lost my business that's all

Don't worry about it hon. Go back when you are ready. Some folks over there are very rude. I don't post there nearly as much as I used to as I got so sick of peoples crap because I inadvertently hurt their little feelers. It's still a fun place but some people take even the dumbest things waaaay too seriously!

There was no need for anyone to be rude to you. They could have just kindly explained that the age rule is there to keep adults from taking advantage of kids, or to guard against kids who perhaps mean well but are unable to transact business within a group of adults. I think it's a good rule, but it certainly can be handled in a fashion without stooping to snark.

I have been here years and just recently joined the Arena and I much rather hang out here. I have made some true, real life friends that I am very thankful for.

This is the original pony forum, anyways. The arena is nice but sometimes I fell that it is way too BIG.

I agree. I had an account there long ago and recently wandered back. It's difficult to navigate and seems to have lost the friendly, homey feel. I came here instead, and while I was never a member here before, I was quickly welcomed and befriended.

This is the place for me!

Yeah I was struggling to navigate it because I'm on my phone. But I even tried on my lap top and it was still hard...

Look, I'm not trying to be a jerk, but that Arena mod was in no way rude. There are thousands of underage kids over there, and I can't imagine how many of them aren't aware of the age restriction on trades/sales/swaps. There are age restrictions here too. I'd imagine the mods there are tired of repeating themselves and probably don't have time to craft a personal message to each kid.

And has been said many times before here, the TP isn't really for airing grievances at other pony websites. :/

They have the age limits here and at the Arena because 9 times out of 10 transactions go bad, very very bad, when underage users are involved. Plenty of drama over the years . . .

16 is a pretty fair age, they could easily have made it 18.

If anyone has something to discuss with the Arena mods, please contact them directly.

Also let it be known that we have the same age limitations here, as well as consequences for breaking those rules:
http://www.mlptp.net/forums/wanted-...general-transaction-notice-everyone-read.html

There's also no need for a 'us vs them' mentality. We are all part of the same greater community of collectors and fans.
