Look What I Found! (X-Posted)

Every single Sunday we have to drive over 500 miles round trip from Alpena, MI to Newaygo, MI to have visitations with our daughter (a long, bad story there) and we went today. We can't see our daughter until exactly noon and we got there at 10 a.m., so we had to waste time around town. We checked Goodwill for MLP's, but no luck. Then we decided to look at the shops on Main Street, which includes a few antique shops. The first antique shop we walked into had a good size toy section and I walked up to it and my eyes fell right on this:

Crystalline! My first Dream Beauty ever!

Then I looked to left and there stood this girl:

Dainty! Both were marked $4.50, which I think might be a little high, but I didn't care, I sure wasn't going to leave them there, especially not a Dream Beauty! I just cleaned them both up and they look very very nice. Sorry about the poor pic quality, the lighting is so bad in this room I couldn't get it much better.

Love the sparkly Dream Beauties. It was a great price for her too! I don't think you overpaid in the least, considering you got two great MLP items for about $9.00.

Plus, somehow pony finds just feel better when you find them in person at a thrift store or something. Ebay is faster and easier, but thrifting is more rewarding :). Lucky you!

Yeah it is a lot more fun finding them somewhere than just getting them online. I had never been in those antique shops before. I was surprised to find anything, but very happy. If I was a Care Bear collector I would have gone nuts, too. There were old school Care Bears all over the same one I found the MLP's in, but they were marked $15.00 each.

I think that's a great price. Especially for the dream beauty! She's on my want list. Lucky you! Congrats! :)
