Lol JK. But seriously, I am I the only one to notice how similar the new MLP series is to the the OG Care Bears series (Nelvana)?! Let me explain my therory.....
- Both started with movies, then the shows came after, served as sequels
- They also were major upgrades from the previous generations (DiC's Care Bears, Friendship is Magic) that to my surprise, were animated by the same exact studio (DHX Media, who owns DiC now)
- Theme songs ( "Let's Make Our Mark Together," "Just Do the Care Bears Countdown") are much better than the basic tunes the other gens used and seem to put the "THEME" in theme songs. lol.
Also......
THIS:
Opaline and Misty
No Heart and Beastly
.....enough said (and this thing won't shut off bold when I don't need it most.....someone help please lol). Or maybe not. The fact even the villains of these two are basically the same with accents, sidekicks.....even the homes they live in look alike........heck I'd even say Opaline is like Gargamel from the Smurfs even.
We know these two cuddly franchies have had major competion as always but now it's pretty evident who is trying to go against who. I also have seen the current era of Care Bears (Unlock the Magic). Truth be told the modern cartoon style works better for them than the ponies as it makes the bears feel cool but yet the design is good enough to get people really interested to buy the bears.
Oh and two more things before I wrap it all up:
"Hi New Friend!"
"Oh, Why do these things ALWAYS happen to me?!"

But yeah guys, what do you think about this? Are the rumors true that MLP is a shameless Care Bears rip off (lol jk)? Does Oplaine have a spolied, rotten neice or nephew like No Heart's, Shreeky?! Will Izzy make Grumpy, well, you know....not..."Grumpy?" XD.
I wanna hear all ya'lls thoughts on this. TTFN, Ta Ta for Now!
