I'll be gone again, gals and guys. And so will Action Hank. we had at least one tornado go through. It didn't hit our house, but it took out a huge tree, killed one of the goats and took out our internet tower. So we're in town stealing Wifi. Our neighbour was not as lucky. His outbuildings and barns are all gone, his trees, everything. We have bad damage, but nothing like him. I'll be back with pics. In the meantime we're going home to no electric, satellite or internet. The phone comes and goes. What can I say? Texas is a fickle state. We are so lucky though, I cannot complain. We could've died today and Mr Hank was in the thick of it outside, so I'm grateful he wasn't hurt or worse.

I am ready for this crap luck to be over. Except I guess it isn't crap since we're alive. It was scary though.

You were on my mind all night as I sat up due to the loud blasts of lightening, horrible rain and flooding in the streets around my home. I knew it was bad for you. Hugs. This too shall pass. I feel badly for the losses. That is so hard. We have no idea how many trees may fall over due to the ground water. We had tornado threats but they didn't reach my house. I am really sorry Foo Foo. Major hugs I am so glad you and Hank are okay. My wifi isn't working well so, I am not going to be on much today. I am ready for this to be over too and they said we would have pop up storms again today possibly. Uggggg The worst thing that happen to me was water was coming up through the sewer pipes and we couldn't flush toilets, run sinks that kind of thing which is minor. I was scared though. The noise alone kept me up all night. I am exhausted. It appears DH got to work but the whole area was under water and cars are stalled everywhere.
 
Yikes! Glad you are OK. Hope things get better soon. It is funny, we were looking to relocate but every place we look seems scarier than where we are. I can deal with several feet of snow, but hurricanes and tornadoes and other things scary the crap out of me. We were thinking about looking at the Nashville area.
 
Sorry to hear about your weather woes. I'm glad you are okay and didn't wind up in Oz! ;) Living n Indiana I know about the Tornado threat. We've had our fair share of them but luckily the worst we've had is brush blowing up against the house and an antenna bending over. Our house is built into a hillside and we have a good basement to go to. Tulagirl put it well...this too shall pass. That's always been my motto. :) Be praying you're bad luck ends and everything get back on track for you real soon. *nods*

Foofoo, I'm so happy that you and Action Hank are okay!! The world would be darker without ya! Stay safe you guys. We get twisters here in MN, but never on the scale of you southerners. Everything is bigger (and sometimes scarier) in Texas. Sending good thoughts!
 
I just wanted to let you all know that the flooding continues, but Action Hank and I are fine! And no more tornadoes. They can keep those. They are the poop. We finally got power, but no internet (booooooo!!!!). There's 170 people in line to get repairs, but who knows where we are on that list. Don't they know I need my internet fix? Oh the sorrows of being a junkie. Anyhoo, I is at da Burger King, stealing their internets. Actually it's free, but it's more fun to pretend I'm a master criminal.

Thanks so much everyone for yor kind words. When I can get online and stay there for a bit, I'll upload some pics. It's pretty bizarre. But no one was hurt (except poor ol' billy goat Silverheels the 2nd, he just wasn't fast enough), so I am grateful. As long as we're together we can beat this wacky weather!

Glad to hear you're okay and that one goat was the only casualty. :) Hope you get your power restored soon, so you don't have to "steal" your internet from the Burger King much longer. ;)
 
We also got tornadoes near our house back in Mexico. Luckily, nothing happened too. Glad things are getting better, bunny. I feel bad not having tornadoes near my area! Stay safe!

BTW: Rest In Peace, little Silverheels the second, you will be missed even if you were a stubborn little goat!

Hugs to you BunBun, I am so glad to hear you guys are okay but really sad about Silverheels the 2nd.:( I think the fact you have mastered hacking into the public wifi at The King is a huge honor.:p You are ready for the PIA.:rolleyes: Sure have missed you. I remember being out of power for a month and half with Hurricane Ike. Do you have a generator? Our parents in Montana Shipped one to us Fed X and it saved our lives. The heat is going to pick up this week so hopefully they will get things restored soon.
 
It's great to hear that you and Action Hank are okay. I'm sorry about all the property damage and horrendous weather Texas has been getting recently. :( My thoughts are with you.
