Here's how it will go:

Your holiday mission, should you choose to accept it is to sum up in 1 photo your favorite classic Holiday movie/special. You may choose a scene from the movie, you may choose to do the poster from the movie or you may choose to create your own interpretation of the movie but whatever you do, you must do it with ponies! The goal is to be able to look at your picture and know the movie it is representing.
  • I will collect the pictures until the deadline and then make a voting thread with all the entries. Do not post pics before hand, it's a surprise!
  • A 1st place winner will be picked by the MLPTP members who will vote for their favorites. Should their be a tie, entries will be assigned a number based on the order of entry and drawn by random.org. *NEW this year* 2nd place will be a Random Raffle draw! Everyone else who got a vote will be entered into a raffle (excluding the 1st place winner) with the # of entries being the # of votes received. Then 2nd place will be drawn via random.org.
  • Easy enough, now go get started!

Dates:

Deadline for submitting photos: 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, 12/15.
Voting will take place from: 12/16-12/20
Winner will be announced: Fri 12/20
Prize will be mailed out: Sat 12/21

Rules:
  • You must use ponies in the photos (at least one, any generation). All human cast members should be replaced by ponies (exception will be made for Santa, Santa is special, so may be represented as himself or by a pony). Other toys and items are fine to use, but your image must include a Hasbro-manufactured, HQG1C or Basic Fun MLP.
  • You may enter up to 3 different movies, however only 1 picture per movie, per member. So if you wanted to do a picture for "It's a Wonderful Life" AND "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" that is fine but you could not submit 2 photos for "It's a Wonderful Life".
  • No photo editing for your photo of ANY kind (only crop and re-size allowed)
  • Entries must be your own original photos.
  • Please also include a screenshot of the scene or image of the movie poster you are re-creating.
  • This contest is open to all members!
  • Of course general MLPTP rules apply, nothing vulgar, offensive etc.

Oh my goodness, even more fun to brainstorm about! Even if I can't think of a good enough idea, it will be so fun to look at the entries and vote!

Does it have to be a movie though? Or can it be Christmas specials too, like frosty and the grinch

I'd argue that they are movies!
 
The way I gasped when I saw Merry Treats was a prize!! Such good prizes, thank y’all for hosting yet another fun contest! Can’t wait to see everyone’s entries~ :ponylove:
 
Quick poll guys; some of you seem more excited for the Merry Treats prize. I placed them in order of value when I created the contest but would you guys prefer I offer 1st place as a choice of prize A or B and then second place would be the other? Or are the majority of you fine with how it is?
