So i recently bought this beautiful Steamer. When he came he was covered in multiple white dots (some were with a bit of brown colour) i figured it was mold so i just did a few oxy action treatments. The brown-ish spots have washed out but white dots did not. So i placed him in uv light with some hydrogene cream and this really big dark spots started appearing after two days. They appeared only with uv light and are only visible with use of uv light so i decided to take him out and give him another oxy bath. Could anyone please help me figure out what do all of these spots mean? I've been researching for forever and haven't found anything:(

my gut says this is regrind. steamer is known to get it. it's a flaw in the plastic and UV treatment won't do anything for it. it could also be "pony pimples" which can be brown or white– were they raised bumps, or are they flat? (more info w pics here) as for the spots showing up under the light, my best guess is they're from whatever product you used on him. what did you use exactly?

I used a hydrogene peroxide (or salon cream) vol 40. And yeah those white dots are kind of like bumps, but in some places they are flat, i was also thinking of pimples. Also thank you for replying :)

I second Regrind. Some pink ponies are prone to this due to the mixing of material the factories use, and Steamer is one of them. Unfortunately there's no way to fix it. If you're good at color matching, you can paint the areas.

Thank you so much!
