Shipping of one set of ponies to Europe and Australia is $36.95USD through Entertainment Earth according to the information I've been presented through the site. I don't know if that price varies for other countries.

It will be difficult to know whether or not shipping will be cheaper if US members volunteer to ship the ponies to non-US collectors, because we don't know what the packaging looks like yet. If the packing is double the size of the original Art pony's box, we may not be saving much by having another member ship--because they will have not only the US shipping, but additional international shipping.

Action Figures, Toys, Gifts, and Collectibles at Entertainment Earth - has a break down of their normal shipping methods along with costs. It seems the more you spend, the higher the shipping cost. The chart is copied and pasted into this thread on post # 89. It looks like no matter what the weight is of the item, they have a set pricing.

Hmm...this looks very interesting indeed...

But will these new art ponies be...*dares to say it* In the new 'G4' style? *shudders* I usually love art ponies but if they look like that...I'll pass

Thank you for sharing! :D

hmmm, sounds very interesting. Can't wait for the pics!!

Oh I'm excited. It sounds like hasbro was going to keep their word that they would still make the 'normal' G3's for us collector's. I just hope they aren't too expensive. >.<

oooh, I wanna see it, as I am sure every one else does, can't wait for pictures

Thank you for posting!!! I can't wait to see them  I do hope it's not the new pony bodies tho....

I'm very interested in these as long as they're in the old G3 style!

At the same time, I would rather have a decent "regular" pony line than what I'm sure will be another pair of "slathered with lines and crap" ponies aimed at collectors. Seriously, just make sea ponies, twinkle-eye ponies, something normal but cool.

Hmm...I definitely think that, seeing as they're making these for collectors...they should listen to what collectors want...

But making a whole new pony, a sea pony for example, may not be financially viable for hasbro - as collectors ponies won't be sold as widely as normal ponies. They'd have to pay for designers, sculptors, new molds...etc etc...After all...they only have their profits in mind here :p So i guess if they did make something different like that we would have to pay a looot of money. I don't think we'll see that happen tbh =\

It would be good if they managed to dog out some of the old molds, they seemed to have done it for the vintage ponies. Also making a twinkle eye out of one of the new ones, shouldn't take that much more alteration to the pony should it?

*agrees with ladym*

I can't wait to see pics of them but if they're just covered in random patterns they won't be nearly as interesting as if they did something like sea ponies or heck even boy ponies. And TBH they could aim those lines at little girls who would probably jump at the chance to see a new pony.

Also i hope it's the 'normal' G3 style and not those horrible new ones they're bringing out.

G4.. is that the official new term for the new design? They sound really cool though--I can't wait to see them! :D

G4, No.... thats just something a few members seem to think due to the redesign of the G3 range....

They are all still G3s IMO......
I just said it because I think it's easier to differentiate between them - they're pretty different after all ^^;

Yay! :cheshire: I'd been waiting to hear more about the 25 ponies Hasbro had stated they'd produce based on chosen entries from the MLP 25th anniversary Create-a-Pony contest held last year! Look forward to pic(s)!

Oh I can't wait! Something different!
I would think they are the "old" G3 poses, too soon for special new body ones?

They wouldn't have to market them only to collectors, though. If the ponies for kids were cool/creative/nonrepetitive, Hasbro wouldn't have to be jumping through hoops to please collectors. Not that I'm ungrateful for a little attention . . . I think it's great that they're even thinking about collectors. But I don't think they really understand what collectors want. I think they think we're like Barbie collectors who buy the fancy, fancy Barbies who cost $$$ and ignore basic Bikini Barbie made for kids. Most pony collectors I know balk at paying $$$ for any new pony, whether it has "collector" on the front or not, and are happy with $5 regular ponies--if they like the molds, colors, and symbols.

The time I was happiest with the G3 ponies was during the first three years of the line--first the Celebration ponies (Kimono, Minty, Sweetberry, Starswirl, etc), then the Friendship Ball line (the Jewel ponies, the Birthstone ponies, very cool), then the Butterfly Island line, which I absolutely LOVED. These three years of ponies sold extremely well with children. I remember the articles after the first year of G3 MLP; Hasbro was blown away by how well they sold. There doesn't have to be a big collector/child split.

I wanted to add that even though I went off topic, I AM genuinely interested to see these new art ponies, especially the underwater themed one. ;) It's just that they interest me the way custom ponies interest me, not in the way most Hasbro-made ponies interest me. Like, they're more a piece of artwork than a pony.

I'm wondering if they will be reproductions of some of the MLP project ponies, in normal g3 size.
