What makes these two cuties so much more rare and expensive than the other winter ponies? I know they’re all target exclusives too

I don't know if they're rare,it's probably that a lot of people want them so the price goes up and the availability goes down on the secondhand market. They may have had a shorter run in certain places too.

Ooh good point! And maybe too because there’s less baby winter ponies than regular ponies
 
I was BIG into G3 when these were out. I could not find them anywhere! I went to Targets all over the region and even had family in TX and CA searching for me. I ended up caving and buying them on ebay. They were expensive back then for MIB but nothing like nowadays

Ooh interesting! I think it’s because maybe they’re the only winter baby ponies! But that’s really interesting that they were even really popular from back then. I don’t remember them too much but I do remember some of the winter ponies
 
You hardly ever see them for sale, I know I still need to add them to my collection. They are baby’s and have accessories that seem to also add to the price I find. I just started collecting g3 about 2 years ago :)

I wish I could add them to my collection too! They’re so cute , but out of my price range
 
I think it's because they're so unique--they're the only baby winter G3s. I just love their wintery/nature theme and they're so cute. Their colors are really nice too. I love their names, the little scarfs and their fun symbols. I really love the northern lights and winter/weather/nature themed ponies. I think winter and weather themed ponies always tend to be popular and even more so because they are babies. I got them both at Target when they first came out. I think they seemed more popular than the other babies even back then and seemed to sell more quickly.
