G4 Opinions on fluttercord?

Hi everyone Fluttershy is one of my favorite characters of g4 and I was rewatching it and completely forgot about fluttercord. I really love the ship, I think they're cute. I know a lot more "in-depth" fans have certain opinions about them but I think they're really cute. What are your guys's opinions on them would love to know!

I'm not much of a shipper myself but I 100% love fluttercord, its just too perfect and I think its so sweet how much Discord cares about Fluttershy in the series

It's one of the better ships in the show I think, although I don't care much for it personally. Not much of a big shipper.

I don't like this ship, it seems so much like the "woman has to be a mommy to an emotionally stupid man" thing, which is way too prevalent in real life. I just don't see them ever being equal partners, and I'm not talking about Discord's chaos powers.

Omg I love Fluttercord! I always say “this is a Fluttercord household” and post pictures of how I keep them next to each other (like Funkos), and the SDCC Guadians of Harmony set. I even still have a screencap of Andrea Libman (Fluttershy’s VA) answering a question about what her character’s secret would be of “I have a crush on Discord.” That was summer 2018 and I’m bad at matching the turnaround time, but She Talks With Angel could have been recorded by then. I know they deliberately left the ending pairings open so we the fans could play, so feel about it however you do.

Also, the G5 comics feature a Discord deeply in mourning over Fluttershy and its tissue bringing. Of course, I’m a fandom crier so make of that what you will. XD

I love how they kept the ending of FIM open to interpretation when it came to Fluttercord (and AppleDash) cause it lets me wholeheartedly believe that Fluttercord are living life together in love
And OMGGGG in the G5 comicsssss Discord missing herrrrr and seeing her in Izzy The poor man just wants his wife </3

Decided to go on a quick look around the apartment and take some pictures of our fluttercord collection. Their lighting in our place is notoriously bad so forgive me for the dimly lit pictures. Hopefully you can get the idea. And the regular release show accurate funkos are packed away because I had to dust where they were but we do have them and I keep Fluttershy next to blue Discord there.

I do like the dynamic between Fluttershy being in a relationship with Discord, and also in a relationship with Rainbow Dash. They both love Fluttershy enough to tolerate each other, but they do not take each other. So I guess I’m giving her two emotionally stupid partners, sorry LM. XD. But if you’re interested in that concept, the best depiction of it is in the holiday special, Best Wish Ever.

If you watch it and you decide no they’re all friends and I’m just still shippy even though I’m almost 40 now, perfectly fine! They were very kind to us and they left a lot of things more open ended for us to play with and that’s amazing.

(also we have a ton of Pony art mostly focused on group shots and ships that we love and also cosplay as a couple, and I’m very surprised that there’s only one fluttercord art in our collection)

I’ll be completely honest, I kinda hate this ship hah! But! My partner has the Comic Con exclusive Discord and Fluttershy Guardians Of Harmony Collectors set. The one that has LED lights and a beautiful box with simulated stained glass effects? And it’s one of the most beautiful things in the entire world. It’s peak!

Sadly, I really enjoyed Discord specifically as a villian myself, discord got reformed around the same time I found out how much of a. Not very nice person, John De Lancie is. On top of Fluttershy being my least fave of the mane 6. It was just to me, a very bad combination that dropped Discord from being one of my faves to, a character I don’t actively collect anything for anymore, fan made or official. I don’t really have anything against the ship that other Gen 4 fans maybe do. I guess for me? It just moved Discords character in a direction that I didn’t want. Which is fine, not everything is for me! ;D

I’m happy that others have found joy in this ship and wish you nothing but good will

In my opinion I think fluttercord is kinda overated but... I love the ship so much and it´s really adorable especially sense some of the development team did ship fluttercord as well! ( i only say its overated because i´m kind in my flarity faze Q_Q .

I really like the pairing of Celestia and Discord and don't ever think about him and Fluttershy together. But to each thier own of course!

Besides the age gaps (which are in loads of ships- Sparity, TwilightxCelestia, etc), it's a pretty cute ship.

Sparity and Twilestia are creepy for other reasons, though (Sparity's a child with an adult, and Celestia practically raised Twilight).
