Hi all:)
I have been looking for a way to remove pin dot mold from the latest member to my herd, Posey. (See pic)
I have tried boiling water and scrubbing, but still it sits ug! Mabe my brush wasn't hard enough? I see everywhere that a Oxy clean bath is the way to go, but not being from America I have no clue what Oxy clean is. So, what is it?

Though oxy clean might take the colors away.. How about magic eraser? We don't have that in Finland but I got similar magic Sponge" it is pretty good but I haven't tried it on smooze. Also little bit harder sponge might do the trick with antibacterial soap

It's a type of cleanser that breaks down into hydrogen peroxide when dissolved in water. You might could find some on Amazon.

Do you think just hydrogen peroxide on it's own would do the trick? I have some of that:D It isn't the realy strong kind for hair, it is the diluted one to use on wounds and stuff. No wait, I might have some of the strong kind too, from when I bleached my hair. Wich one? If any:/

hydrogen peroxide is if I remeber correctly in acne cream.. and it is recommended to use only on white ponies since it can take the color away.. Not in all ponies but most of them and it can happen in a long time period. Pony might survive the clean but little by little the color just fades away..

You're thinking of benzyl peroxide which should definitely not be used on most colors of ponies and some say it shouldn't be used at all (it spreads long after it's been washed off and can transfer to other ponies). Hydrogen peroxide is something else entirely and is fairly safe for most ponies though certain colors of hair react badly to it and it's not safe on twinkle eyes and probably a few other special features.

Thanks for correcting!! there are just too many peroxide to remember :p

Are you just using hot water when you scrape at it? In my experience, you have to use hot water and coat the spot you're scraping with soap for this to work. I boil the pony in hot water (with or without oxiclean), then smear on antibacterial hand soap and scrape with the sharp edge of surgical scissors.

You might be able to find your country's verson of oxiclean here: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,363520.0.html

A hydrogen peroxide soak alone doesn't remove pin dot (as far as I know). Check out my website for the pros and cons of using hydrogen peroxide.

I hope this helps!
