I seem to have to make a mess before I can pack it all up. Been at this for two days.

And what do the pets think.... NO Cares are given.

I've only ever had to move house once, when I was 14, after my parents divorced and my mother could no longer afford the house. It was a traumatic experience, especially since 90% of the packing was done by the moving company. They came into my room (which I was deliberately packing myself to take stuff with me) after I'd fallen asleep crying on my bed, and they started packing there too. In fact they even stole some of my jewellery and left the empty container lying in one of the boxes. Then the people who'd bought the house also sent a cleaning service and gardeners in before our stuff was even packed and out yet. I think at least 75% of our belongings were taken to an auction house and sold off before we even knew what had gone there, a lot of fragile stuff got broken in transit, and the rest went into storage (which after a few years we could no longer afford, so they probably sold or dumped that stuff too). It was in all this drama and confusion that I also lost my childhood ponies.

The moral of this story is that, painful and exhausting as it is, it's better to do your own packing and moving.

I could not agree more with you lady of the night. My mother wanted to help me but her idea of packing is throwing everything into boxes. To this day her helping move when I went to college and live in apartment I lost a ton of poster and all my Digimon stuff.

when she ask this time I was like No thanks.

Egads, I remember moving out every six months and it ticked me off to high heaven. I was thrown out thrice, and once I had to move because of mental problems (and trust me, I'm not a bad roommate....I just got unlucky and ended up renting from crappy people). I've been in my current house for 2 years, I think that's the longest I've been anywhere other than my parent's house of course.

Well, I'm sorry Ology. That sucks. If I lived by you I would help you move and I would be extra careful about all the toys and posters because I understand the obsession, lol. Well, try not to stress too much. Good luck.

I need to teach Diesel now that he is doing better how to pack boxes. I ask him for help and all he wanted to do was shake hands and sit. Then go to sleep.

Lol! When I walk to the store, I put a tote bag around Bob's neck and have him carry it to the store. He's not so good at carrying it back full of groceries though!

I had your same problem. My only solution seems to be downsizing.

Well I would but I hope to use my vast toy army to take over the world and issue world peace and toys forever one. Well I can dream right.

My, my. What a big collection, Ology! So sorry you will have to move. I see that Diesel is getting better, none the less.
Good luck on your new house and in packing the massive lot of ponies and dolls! lol

Hope your new developments mean great news :D Closing as requested.
