I know you shouldn't dwell in the past. I usually get over things really fast. It's a good way of staing sain - and an effect of a very poor memory capacity ;)

But I'm sure we all have done something we regret and can't really stop thinking about. Time to confess, pour your heart out. Time for some therapy ;)

I regret...

I had two of the Coockery ponies MOC in the wardrobe for a long time. This was beafore I really collected. I guess I got them as dubbles on a birthday or something. One day my mum cleaned out the closet and suggested that I would give them to my stepsister (whom I hated). I agreed after many buts. So I gave them to her (I was like 9 at this time and she 7). Well offcourse she ripped them open and totaly ruind them. Today I don't have a clue where they are or were she is even... I so regret giving those two away to hear. Escpecially since I hated her and she hated me and we fought pretty much every day. It's not like she was vary thankful either. 2 years later I started collect and realized what they could have been worth to me now. If I just kept them in the closet 2 years more...

And I regret that I didn't really understood Ebay better when I was that young and... well I don't regret that... but wish my mum would understand Ebay too. Now both she and I know how it works.
But back then I got the tip on the old TP about this place and we registerd and I figured out bit by bit how it worked. One thing I missed though was that you had to buy all that you bid on. I guess Ebay was pretty new too at the time 'cuz not many sellers stated in their auctions all their terms and so on. So I bid and bid on everything I wanted and picked out what I wanted to buy afterwards... Which resulted in a lot of negatives offcourse  *please don't hunt me out of ponyland for that*
Our account was "locked" which we didn't understood either. So I missed out on a MOC Merry Treats which I definitly would have bought. My mum was in on that too. Untill this day I haven't found another MOC Merry Treat (in good condition) =/
But I grew older and my mum started to learn about the whole Ebay thing too and now we know exactly what commitments you do and what you are supposed to do and so on and today we have a 102 positive record and 0 negatives =).

So what about you? Got any dark secrets or something you just need to get of your chest. Something you been kicking yourself for forever now for not doing/doing? Tell me :D

Hmm...I had an SS Magic Star as a kid that I always used to draw on with chalk :p SHe's one of the ponies that went MIA.. :s

And not really a regret, but I resent being constantly outbid on eBay :p I never win!

two of my ponies are missing! One was windy winger Whirly (blue with yellow hair) and I broke her wing. I gave it to my mom to fix and never saw it again..

The other I know was MLP but I've had a heck of a time identifying it. It isn't on Dream Valley, mlpcollector, and I've asked the Nirvana board (my proximity to the Mexican border makes it possible that it was a foreign), and no one knows what it was. If I could just find that pony now and show it off I'd be in heaven..

I remember when I was new to collecting ponies, and I found Spike the dragon at a local thrift store (only cost me a dime!), but I wasn't sure is it was Spike or not. I kept looking for a Hasbro marking, and I couldn't find any, so (in my innocence) I said "Hasbro never would have made anything this cheap-looking", and I THREW HIM IN THE TRASH!!!

Tif =:cool:

Re:

That makes me remember some other stuff...

I regret bringing my Little Flitter and Star Gleamer to kindergarden... Someone stole them from me. I could always had a little memory of thm. But not untill I became a collector I realized which one they were. I'm happy to say though that I have them both again =)

And I do regret not pushing my mum harder to buy me the ponies in the 90's. She thought the Sweet Kisses ponies, newborn babies and hairdo ponies looked so silly and refused to buy them for me. I can still remember them there on the shelves of the toystore *sigh*

I regret cutting some pony's hair when I was little!!! I also regret trading some of my old Italians for regular versions. Not that I collect Italians, but they were childhood ponies...

I do regret selling some of my collection when I wanted to buy a horse! I really miss those ponies :(

i regret cutting pony hair when i was little (only bright eyes was spared)

i regret not keeping the back cards to the **** things!

and i regret not taking my friends Camle and Llama ponies cos now a i want them LOL

O lost mine 1st NBBE baby Gusty. I , dont know why or how, just lost her (with 2 baby CottonCandy and one TildWinks)... i can´t forgive myself for it. SHe was my fav.

Re:

A lot really seems to have sold/given away their childhood ponies.
I'm so happy I never did that. And that they all are in lovely, mint condition.

Good to know I'm not alone on making mistakes though. I recognize the selling for too little - buyinf for too much thing ;)
