On my confetti, she has these large and muddy brown stains. I have tried sunfading them for like a month now, but no luck. I am not sure if they are bacteria or just stains from something? Any advice on removing them would be appreciated :sadpony:

maybe shes sunburned? im not sure if confetti gets burned, but i do know i have a baby tic tac toe that is sunburned, shes like 3 shades darker than her normal yellow

Have you seen The Preservation Project? This part in particular looks like it could be a similar situation.

My big sunfading project took from July - September so it can take a long time
(It’s not the same stain but here’s a timeline post)

The confetti I sunfaded took several months to fade anything away, even when it was really sunny >~< She does look like it might be sunburned? But I cant tell for sure. But I would also be careful and check her every day if you decide to sunfade her more, Confetti is a pony very prone to sunburning! (I have seen many really badly burnt ones and I had to stop fading mine because she showed early signs of sunburn) I wish you luck with her!

I have some with some similar staining. It was from a grease or oil that seeped into the vinyl. That's why the big spot is splotchy. I haven't been able to remove it and dark greases don't sunfade. Painting over may be an option.

The staining around the confetti symbols could be from the glitter. I have a Starflower with that around the stars. It also did not sunfade. My Starflower needs body work, so I just intend a paint touch up for her spots.
