Last weekend was super busy and really fun! I drove with some friends down to Orlando, FL to attend TFcon - a transformers/toy convention. I saw lots of cool toys and met up with a lot of old friends and made some new ones!
I wasn't aware Victor Caroli was going to be there until someone mentioned it to me. He was the narrator for the transformers cartoons, but also was the voice of Tirac from Rescue at Midnight Castle! I quickly scribbled some fanart to give to him with a personal thankyou note on the back letting him know that I loved that film. He was so thrilled and took a photo with me. A very sweet man!
I met someone there that likes to collect production material and he had brought the original promotional material with him so it was interesting to flip through those pages as well.
Here is my entire post-vacation haul! The robot parrot was given to me by a friend - it transforms into a little cube! Rubber duck and stickers were given to me by other friends. The transformers art books were made by one of my friends who drove down with me.
The ponies!! I bought them from one of the only sellers at the con and they were at the bottom of the bin. He sold them together for $40. I'm not sure if that's a deal or not but I was happy that I found them.
The birdy plush I got from Disney Hollywood Studios. His name is Chuuby and he's featured in the Mickey & Minnie Runaway Railroad ride. It was so fun! You can attach a lot of disney plush to your sleeve now so they can ride on your shoulder at the parks.
And finally, there were two more ponies waiting for me on my doorstep when I got back from the trip. I purchased them from MLPFUN and I'm so glad to have all these new additions! Thank you MLPFUN! I'm currently in the process of washing and styling them all. Little Flitter's wing needs to be replaced as well.
