Hi everyone!

I've been working on a website about MLP restoration off and on for several years now. I'm shooting to be finished with it by Christmas! I'm including a list of rare ponies that it might be best to avoid customizing. Here's the list I have so far. Please let me know if you have any additions or ammendments you think this list needs! I want to be super detailed and specific!

I just want to say that this is a great idea. I'm hoping to start making customs (mostly for myself) soon and most of the bait ponies I have are G1s; I know some definite no-nos like Mimic and the Perfume ponies. I was actually considering making a post to ask about other G1 ponies because I'm not as sure about which ones are rare as I am about the G3s. This is a wonderful list. Thanks!

This is a great idea. However, I'm not sure if all belong in your list. I'm not sure about the following:

Pinwheel
Merry-Go-Round Ponies - I think only Diamond Dreams is really sought after/rare here. Maybe Sparkler too.
Perfume Puff Ponies - Red Roses is the only rare one I think...

This seems like such a good idea! I am very into customizing but I do not know much about rarity or even the names of most of the pony characters... This will be really helpful to keep me from making mistakes.

I can understand not all customizers who begin using ponies might know which are rares, but in my humble opinion, it is their pony to do with as they like. Rare or not, some ponies are beyond any help, save a customization.

Thanks for the list, I'm customizing ponies myself and always check which ones are rare before I start cutting off all there hair. One pony I'm not sure about though is a baby Star gazer pony I have, is she rare or can I customize her?

I don't think all the summer wing ponies belong on the list. I'd leave Little Flitter off.

I'd also add:
Princess Pristina
Princess Taffeta
and the dragons and bushwoolies

Thank you for this list! I have often wondered where the line could be drawn, since I've seen some ponies that seemed harder to find being customized. The thing is, I never know for sure. This list is great.
