Heyo.

I need something to binge while I am coloring and knitting and chilling.

Here are shows I have traditionally quite enjoyed:
The Good Place
Firefly
Pushing Daisies
Dead Like Me
Steven Universe
Gravity Falls
Good Omes
DoctorWho
'art' competition shows (food, sometimes fashion, tattoo, or makeup, various crafting) that don't get too catty/mean

I like movies too, but Gwenn and I really like to settle into a show for an hour in the evenings before bed.

I can't stand violence to animals, and I don't love a lot of violence in general.

Feel free to use this thread to post what your interests are and get recs too. I think that might be fun.
This could be a repeat of a topic somewhere. Sorry if it is. I see it as being more specific than 'what are you watching' though.

I started watching a great series on Netflix last night.

It’s a “cop drama” series, so it’s intense and deals with mature subject. If it interests you I can send that along. It’s very tastefully done and you become very invested in the stories.

For “brainless” tv shows (mostly animation because I’m nerdy like that), my go to favourites are:
Netflix:
1) Centaurworld (great storytelling/animation/music)
2) MLP (duh!)
3) Hilda (again great story/animation)
4) Maya and the Three (A+ animation/story)
5) Babysitters Club (because I’m old and still love BSC)
6) Vikings
7) RuPaul’s Drag Race
8) ToRaDoRa
9) Pokémon (again super nerdy but love it for background noise while I work)
10) Kotaro Lives Alone

Disney+
1) BLUEY!!! (I watch it more than I should)
2) The Owl House (You will LOVE this show)
3) Amphibia (beautiful story/animation/I cry a lot)
4) Bob’s Burgers
5) The Great North
6) Criminal Minds
7) 9-1-1
8) 9-1-1 Lone Star
9) Station 19
10) Duck Tales (original & newer)

This will be fun to work through.
We obviously watch a lot of cutesie kid shows; Bluey is a favorite of Lynnix's.
Gwenn refused to watch any show that depicts police in a positive light. They view them as propaganda.

Some of these others might be fun though. We'll check them out.

Have you watched Wednesday? I really enjoyed it.

I agree with sky on Maya and the three, it's really good. We just finished Lockwood and Co if you like ghosty things, P watched it so it's not too scary. The Bake Squad is good.

I like Bake Squad. It's cute. Not exactly binge-able, but nice for a sit-down.
I will mention the others to Gwenn. Thanks =D

I quite enjoyed Community and Parks & Recreation. As a bonus, two of the stars from Parks & Rec host a cute crafting competition show called Making It.

I'm also really liking the cartoon Moon Girl & Devil Dino that is airing right now on Disney channel. I think so far there are 3 or 4 episodes uploaded to Disney+. It's really cute and fun!

The other show I find really cool is His Dark Materials on HBOMax. Good Omens is also a good watch!

Good Omens is a fav. We did Parks and Rec and Making It also. We will check the others!

I second Skybreeze on Hilda and Amphibia if you’re looking for animated shows, they’re fantastic :D
For non animated shows I’d recommend
-Ghosts (apparently there’s an American version and a UK version but I’ve only seen American),
-Eureka (it’s a bit older but if you haven’t already seen it it’s great)
-Good Omens (amazing but short)
-Once upon a time in wonderland (a spin off of once upon a time that was really cute)
-The way home (its a new hallmark show, I’ve only seen 2 episodes so far but the time travel storyline seems very interesting and there’s been no violence)
And if you like anime and don’t mind some flashback scenes of characters fighting in a war then I’d say Violet Evergarden, the main part of the show is more about the character finding her place and making friends. Plus the background music in it is beautiful

I can also recommend Ghosts! It's super funny and heartwearming! I can only recommend the English version though, it was the original and from what I've personally seen of the American version it's not nearly as good. I'm sure it's still funny and has its fans though

Also thirding Hilda

Hmm i feel like everyone pretty much has everything covered lol! Hmm...

I do also recommend @AzaleaArt 's suggestion for the "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland", it was so good!! I loved it, and thats a lot coming from someone who is scared of Alice in wonderland stuff haha. Altho be warned it was canceled after 1 or 2 seasons i cant remember how many.

I think youd love the show "Unwrapped" it shows how all our food is made right down to the history and packaging! :D its one of my faves. Its in Discovery+, Amazon, and Food Network Go which is apparently free if you have cable tv. (Oh adding, this does not include violence on animals. Its basically just a fun show explaining how tic tacs, or twinkies, etc stuff is made. Even if there is a meat episode, its a family friendly show they arent gonna show anything sad or anything.)

Hmm honestly its an oldy but a goody. R.L Stines "Goosebumps" is such a fun campy time haha.

Hm " Murder, She Wrote" is also really good, ollldd, and very cheesy, its not violent. Calling it violent would be like calling slapping a slice of bologna onto someones face a violent crime  . It also is murders solved by an author, not police, and the police are 99% bumbling idiots who cant do their job so the amazing Angela Lansbury (rip love you Angela) gets the job done with her murder mystery writing expertise!! :D

Another fun one is "Keeping Up Appearences" its a british sitcom from the 90s. Its on britbox, vudu, and amazon i think. Its about Hyacinth Bucket. The joke is her last name is pronounced Bouquet even if its spelled Bucket. Her sisters are all flower names too. Shes very up tight and the amount of british shade thrown to everyone lolol.

Thats all i can think of for now! :O unless you consider Golden Girls haha but thats a staple! With the last two i mentioned tho, theyre oldish and as with anything older there may be a few things that haven't aged well every now and then. Its been a while since I watched them but i do remember Murder She Wrote being especially friendly to watch.

I don't get to binge watch anything but I do have time for one or two. If I could I would pick Grimm, it's really good so far but it just takes me so long to get a series watched. If you have Discovery plus you can watch We Bought a Funeral Home! Maybe a bit much for binging though. I will try to think of more

Grimm is one of my favorite shows! But it does have quite a bit of violence

Cartoons:
-Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated
-adventure time
-voltron
-amazing world of gumball
-star vs the forces of evil
-over the garden wall

Live action scripted:
-only murders in the building
-extraordinary attorney Woo

Reality:
-old enough
-queer eye
-Trixie motel

And my #1 recommendation, my favorite show of all time:
Dimension 20 (Dungeons and Dragons improv show - many episodes for free on YouTube - start with season 1 fantasy high. The show is riveting, hilarious, heartwarming, and all improvised! And the episodes are really long so there’s so much content to enjoy)

Yeah, our "binge" is usually to watch one show, nightly, maybe more on weekends, til we finish the series.
I will look at WBAFH

OMG YES. How did I forget Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated!! Its the BESTSSS. Its so funny ive rewatched it a million times!!

Show's I've seen recently that I highly recommend:

Dead to Me - Netflix. Kind of a dark comedy about grief, and dark secrets that seal lifetime friendships.

Reservation Dogs - Hulu. A comedy about four friends living on a reservation.

Letterkenny - Hulu. Another comedy. Canadian Rednecks.
