I'm now also a proud owner of Seascape. And who's fault is that? Yes, it's StormMaeker's fault! I hadn't even seen her before and I'm definitely not into orange ponies, but her adorable photo of Seascape enjoying the water fountain made me realise what a wonderful pony she is, she's the essence of summer really (and summer is my favourite season). :ponylove:

I'll show her (together with a rather large amount of other ponies I received this and last week) in a week or so, I'm currently busy preparing for my final exams. I feel an unnaturally strong desire to unpack the lot that came today instead of studying, aaaargh! I shouldn't even be here for goodness' sake!
I didn’t think my photo would have the power to inspire somebody to buy a particular pony!

I hope you enjoy her as much as I enjoy mine and good luck with your studies!

The sun is out and the sun is hot

My blind bag merponies went for a swim!
One them happens to be the orange Applejack I said I got when I posted my Seascape

Here is my Seascape. I have to say she is gorgeous, I definitely don't regret buying her, even if orange isn't really my colour. Actually, I've taken a shine to summer-themed ponies in general, fancying ponies I would never have considered before, especially some of the later G1 summer-/beach-themed sets . Must be the heat. :lolpony:

A friend got Cat Pony for me! She forewarned me about the state of her hair, so I went straight to work after her arrival. I would have considered having her re-rooted, but her hair still changes so nicely in the sun and I haven't found replacement hair that changes like this on Retro Dolls UK, so I tried to straighten it.

That's how she arrived (out in the sun):

Her hair is still extremely dry and quite a few hairs are shorter than the rest, they seem to have broken off because they are so dry (they were already like this before straightening), but she looks much better. Then I noticed that she has tail rust.

I can't manage to open her up though, her neck is tightly sealed. I dipped her neckline in boiling water, but to no avail. Her head won't budge. Argh!

By “changes”, is it the colour or was she repinked? She’s got such a nice cutie mark! I like animal cutie marks the best :ponylove:

No, it's her original hair. It changes to a bright purple out in the sun. If the hair isn't exposed to the sun, it's white. :) It doesn't work with heat, as it stayed white during the straightening process. And if it's cloudy outside, the hair doesn't change either.

Oh yes, I also love animal symbols. She was the last but one cat symbol ponies I was missing. I have now also found Mail Order Mummy and Baby pony (they are on their way here), so as far as I know, my cat pony symbol collection should soon be complete. :)

I also like the animal symbols on the Surprise Newborns, I have one per colour (so just one of the two possible symbols, I just picked the one I preferred), their symbols are so adorable. :ponylove:

@IceCrystal I had no idea there were hair color changing G1s outside of the Watercolors, Sunshines and Sun Dazzles?

@quartz_ Which orange ponies are on your wishlist?
