I've bee wondering: what is the difference between Summer Wings and Windy Wings?

One has weather on them, the other has creatures/other summery tokens xD
I will say the windy ones seem more rarer than the summer ones.

I never noticed that! Wow, that's pretty cool! I thought it was just because they were released later and they didn't want to use the same name again. :]

There is no difference really. Other than symbol themes; Windy's being more weather-related. Stars, suns, moons, snowflakes, palm trees... ect. While the Summer's have bugs or birds as symbols. The Windy Wings are a bit more hard to find than the rest.

Doesn't one set have forelocks and the other doesn't? I think the Summers have forelocks, and the Windys don't or something.

I love the summer wings, they remind me of summer nights....
lol:pig::911:

Wow, i never really took a moment to notice! Good observations! Id also like to know which ones are the more sought-after ones too!

Not sure if I'm right here, but don't the 2 sets have slighlty different wings? I could be wrong I have a lot of them, and I'm never sure what ones are from which set.

I'm pretty sure that Flurry is a pretty sought after lady:)

I'm pretty sure both sets have the same 3 different molds, and 3 different wing types (though of course with the different colours but the same pattern). Summer Wing ponies are meant to have longer tails than the Windy Winds, whose tails are the same length as the hair - though I'm not sure about this since I have a Flurry with a longer-than-mane tail (but I suspect she may have been tampered with.) And yeah, the Summer Wings have forelocks while the Windy Wings don't. :3

Not sure why the Windy Wings are rarer though. =\ I think Cool Breeze is one of the most sought for in the Windy Wings. For Summer Wings, I don't see Buzzer or Glow very often, but then I've not been hunting for them in a while XD

this is from my experience(which goes far back so it might have changed a bit):

Summer Wing:

High Flier(easiest to come by with good or mint condition to a fair price)
Lady Flutter( almost as easy to find as Little flitter, but often comes in better condition, that is why she is before Little Flitter in the list)
Little Flitter( Easy to find, but hard to find with still pink hair and silky hair)
Sky Dancer( Medium hard to find, often find with frizzy hair and might have some discolor on her body too)
Glow( Medium hard to find, but same problem as with little flitter, hard to find with pink hair... has often faided to white)
Buzzer (Was the last one for me to find, so I guess he is medium hard to find...)

Windy Wing:
(All windy wings are more or less hard to find, but they also have a list)

Sunglider(according to me the eaiest to find among the WW)
Flurry( at the time I bouth her she was all over the place, but it was rare to find one with still pink hair.... so my guess is that this one is pending up and down)
Cool Breeze( if you have the money you could probably get a hold of this one... but she is prizy!)
Whirly and Moonjumper(these two are my twins... I had to look long and hard to find these two... and I found them almoust at the same time... I guess I was very lucky then)
Starry Wings(the hardest to find ever.... I looked for her for YEARS! VERY hard to find)

Difference between Summer Wings and Windy wings are as you said, their symbols and that SW has a forelock and WW does not....

I was wondering about that too. I just knew that they were 2 different sets from like back to back years with butterfly wings on them. I think my fave would have to be little Flurry, the purple one with the snow flake on her.
