Svengoolie this week

I actually wrote up a review on that for one of my horror forums a few years back. I love that movie.

I wish we got Svengoolie in our area. We have to watch him online when we get a hankerin' for him.
 
So MeTv isnt local for you guys? What a total bummer. I have not seen it, but the movie poster cracks me up.
 
I've lost track of when Svengoolie is on... You say it's on MeTV? I used to watch it wintering in Florida.

In my area, there used to be a similar show hosted by a guy made up like a vampire named Sammy Terry. He was on late night and seemed scarier than Svengoolie. I think his son took up the role after he died. I'm not sure his show is on anymore. I did see him "in character" on local news last year, I think.

Growing up I loved old 50's monster movies. There used to be a matinee type show on WGN Channel 9 that showed them. I'd watch it every weekend at my grandma's house on cable. I barely remember it. It always advertised Empire Carpet. They were either sponsors or hosted the movies. I still recall the man in the adds and the jingle! LOL I have still seen Empire Carpet adds where they guy is now in cartoon form. :)
 
I get MeTV, but I don't watch the Svengoolie show much. I did watch one episode where he hosted the 1960s Batman movie.
 
My mom and I always watched the old monster movies on Saturdays when I was growing up. They are just so much fun. I am recording tonight's episode. I can't seem to get to it yet.

Okay so today's episode is: The Kiss of the Vampire 1963
 
I got this on on my DVR this time! LOL Haven't watched all of it yet.
 
It made me laugh in many ways. When it was supposed to be night they were running around in the daylight a couple of times. The story was funny in how it played out.
 
The episode for this week is: The Invisible Man's Revenge

This should be an interesting movie. LOL
