The MLPTP Helping Hooves Hall of Fame!

This award is given to a member of the Trading Post who displays
selflessness in providing a service to the community at no cost
to those who receive it.

​

Members who qualify for this award have done one or more of the following:

• Sought out hard-to-find ponies in stores and sold them at cost to members of the community (or similar gestures).

• Created free adoptables in the Artwork forum

• Gone above and beyond to provide the community with breaking news or information regarding ponies and products.

• Any other action which has shown selflessness and care for the community beyond that of normal activity.

If you would like to nominate someone for this award, please send a pm to one of the moderators and include a detailed description of WHY you think your nominee deserves this award. Remember, you cannot nominate yourself!

Here is the 2008 Helping Hooves Hall of Fame!

Wysteria has been given the Helping Hooves award for helping
non Fair-going members of the community to obtain the 2008 MLP
Fair exclusive pony.

Mia2004 has been given the Helping Hooves award for
helping non-US members of the community to obtain US-exclusive
ponies at cost, being consistently eager to help answer questions
and provide information about ponies, and for always interacting
with others in a kind and friendly manner.

JosieKat has been given the Helping Hooves award for taking
much of her time to welcome the newest members to the Trading Post,
being consistently eager to help answer other members' questions, and
for always interacting with others in a kind and friendly manner.

Baby Starbow has been given the Helping Hooves award for
organizing numerous pony swaps at the Trading Post, supervising them
well and making up for gifts lost by others in said swaps so that no one
was left out. She is also being awarded for being a kind and considerate
member, always willing to help others and offer her experience and
advice, and for organizing a free raffle for Trading Post members.

Phylliebean has been grated the Helping Hooves Award for her dedication
as a My Little Pony Fair organizer in providing My Little Pony Trading Post
patrons with ongoing information about the 2008 My Little Pony Fair, as well
as answering questions in a friendly and professional manner.

Fizzypop has been given the Helping Hooves award for bringing joy to
many of the MLPTP members by making many, many different high-quality
adoptables at no charge. She has been generous in devoting her time and
efforts toward the happiness of others. Fizzypop has also proven time and
time again to be a kind, considerate, and helpful member of the MLPTP. She
even loaned her skills to make the new banner you see at the top of the page!

Hi LLB! Princess Pinkstar received her award in 2009, so she'll be first on the list of the 2009 Hall of Fame

I'm just wondering, being relatively new here...how and when is this award decided?

Hi Amaris! What happens is that members from the board pm me or another mod to nominate a fellow MLPTP member for the award. In their pm they explain why they think that person deserves recognition. Then I open up voting to all the mods, and if the majority is in favor, then that person is awarded. We judge based on the kindness and consideration of the nominee's actions, and whether or not it fits the award criteria. I don't post that poll publicly, because not everyone who's nominated receives an award.

Since nominations don't come in on a regular schedule (any day, any week, all year), I post the awards every now and then, spacing them out a bit to let each recipient have the HH spotlight for a while before I post the next one. And that way, it's always a surprise!
