G3 Tinsel hair straightening question

This may sound a little dumb but is it safe to straighten G3 hair with tinsel with a flat iron? Does the tinsel burn or break off?

You can try it but you have to be careful, If it were my pony I’d advise against it. I’ve heard of many people melting tinsel with irons, I believe it’s easier to melt than normal pony hair. You must always be careful using heat around ponies since too much can melt their hair, but tinsel can be finicky. It IS possible to straighten tinsel, here’s an older post about it.
I typically just wash the hair with shampoo, then add conditioner and gently comb it out straight before I let it sit for a few hours to help ponies with messy/frizzy hair problems….But then again I’m super not picky and not fussed if it doesn’t turn out perfectly straightened lol. It does somewhat depend on the condition of your pony, sometimes it might be a little too far gone to completely straighten it.
