That's eleven all time faves, but everyone knows I can't count anyway.

I used strictly traditional animation films and didn't wander into stop-motion or CGI because those are just more films for me to mull over till my brain explodes.

Traditional:
1. Howl's Moving Castle
2. The Nutcracker Prince
3. The Land Before Time
4. The Swan Princess
5. Spirited Away
6. Thumbelina
7. Anastasia
8. The Secret of Nimh

10. Happily N'Ever After

Stop-Motion:
1. Corpse Bride
2. The Nightmare Before Christmas
3. Coraline

CGI:

2. Despicable Me
3. Epic
4. Rio
5. How to Train Your Dragon
6. Turbo
7. The Lego Movie
8. Megamind
9. The Nut Job
10. Shrek 2

Oh how could I forget about Coraline? :ponylove: I love Nightmare Before Christmas but I thought it was a Disney movie.

It's incredibly hard for me to compile a list like this because it takes a lot for me to label a movie as a "favorite". It's not enough to just "like" it, I have to feel drawn to it, compelled by it, inspired by it, want to know everything about it. At least to an extent. I'm also incredibly picky when it comes to animation. Not everything catches my fancy, most of the time the movies that speak to me the most aren't be the ones widely regarded as the best (case in point, Studio Ghibli/Hayao Miyazaki movies. They just don't do it for me, I'm afraid). So I'll be surprised if I actually reach the 10 mark.

1 - Kung Fu Panda
2 - Kung Fu Panda 2 (yes, I count them separately and MY WORD IS IT HARD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN THESE TWO)
3 - Pokémon: the Movie/ Mewtwo Strikes Back
4 - Asterix and Cleopatra
5 - Surf's Up
6 - Lucario and the Mystery of Mew
7 - TMNT
8 - Rango
9 - Cats Don't Dance
10 - Sonic the Movie

Wow, I did it!

An honorable mention would probably go to The Secret of NIMH. I'm not a Don Bluth fan, though I do admire his work and legacy in the animation industry, and NIMH, while it has issues imo, is just fascinating enough on different levels that I can't be completely immune to it.

It is. Or, at least, Disney is no longer fearful of labeling it as such.
TNBC was originally released under the Touchstone label, which in very simple words is where Disney released movies they were unsure they wanted people to associate with the brand, or were huge gambles. But since TNBC became a cult hit, Disney has chosen to give it the same status as, say, Pirates of the Caribbean.

I'm too sleepy to make a list right now, just got off work. But one movie I'll always love, is Fern Gully. That wasn't disney right...lol

Wow that's really cool! Thank you for explaining this to me! TNBC is my fiance FAV movie and he didn't know this either. I never knew Touchstone belong to Disney either. I guess you learn something new every day :satisfied:

I forgot about The Thief and the Cobbler, I loved that film

:ponylove:
Sadly, spent most of my life watching movies as a pastime, seen some good ones.

Interstella 5555! How could I forget that one! >< I watched it on my birthday this year and loved it.

I knew The Nightmare Before Christmas was Disney (I've played Kingdom Hearts, so of course I do), but for some reason my idiot brain decided to forget that fact while compiling my list. Nevertheless, I consider it a Tim Burton film before anything else. Technically EVERYTHING will be Disney soon, at the rate they're buying out companies...

I haven't actually watched The Last Unicorn yet. I have downloaded a (fairly poor quality) copy of it, but have yet to sit down and get depressed by it.
