My horse buddy passed away in 2006. I only had him 5 years but he was a rescue horse.
Buddy pretty much had been left for dead and the people came out and saved him. I bought him from the people who saved him.
He was such a tiny Horse compared to my Mare Drifter ( paint horse in picture she pass away as well). I love this guy so much. He used to scream when I would leave him in the mornings he was call our 900 pound dog. With his age and his foot injury he got when he was rescued Buddy was pretty much a pampered pretty pony.
He confused the heck out of the farrier too. He did not know pick it up I taught him give me. He would only put his leg up for that.
His favorite food was chili cheese Fritos and this stuff that grew on our hill I forget the name. He loved his PJ as I called them.
It was his Rug/blanket I got him as he was older and would not put on a lot of weight no matter the food the number of feeds or anything. You put that rug on him and good luck getting it off he loved that thing.
I was there the day he passed I held him all day. I should have put him down but it was too hard to do.
So I just held him and petted him and he would not let me out of his sight.
He pass away May 15 2006 at 2:10 pm.
I have had pictures of him made and I wanted something else beside my tiny memory box I have from him.
So I had a My Generation horse and what did I do pull my photo books out and from them and memory I made a Tribute Horse in honor of my dear dear horse.
