So, im having a real reallll bad day so i wondered if anyone wanted to do trivia or something? Like is there anything youve ever wanted to know about Tolkiens works youd wanna ask? Any fun trivia from your own favorite fandoms youd wanna share? Any sort of fun facts! :3
 
Did you know that the actress that plays Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Alyson Hannigan) is irl married to the actor that plays Wesley (Alexis Denisof)?? I always thought that was a cool fact :)

Oooo thats a good one, i didnt know that one! :O

Similar vein of fun fact, Kimberly J Brown who played Marnie on Halloween town married the guy who played Kalabar in Halloween town! ;) Such a funny coincidence!

I just learned that this year actually! I thought that was kinda funny too. :purpleheart:
 
Some more fun facts I can think of.

Hippos fart from their mouths. Stinky breath!! Lol

In Lord of The Rings. Gandalf actually isnt an old human man. Hes essentially an Angel who chose the form of an old man as its whats considered the wisest form? He also has a totally different name as an Angel. He was also an Angel along side Sauron too, who also was an Angel.

Polar bears have black skin! :3
 
Peter S. Beagle, the author of The Last Unicorn, wrote the final version of the screenplay for Ralph Bakshi's animated version of The Lord of the Rings (1978)! (I grew up on this version and it still holds up decently well, IMO.)
Topcraft, the studio that animated The Last Unicorn later went on to produce Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, now part of the Studio Ghibli film collection, and various Rankin/Bass film productions such as the other Hobbit and Lord of the Rings animated films (which comparatively I didn't care for, but are still considered classics by some).

I’ve been following the hippos at the Cincinnati Zoo religiously lately. Now this is all I’ll be able to think of. :rofl:

Fun fact: Pixar is known for changing details in their movies based on what country or region they’re released in, but only one movie so far has been completely reanimated to match two different dubs: Dreamworks’ Kung Fu Panda 3 was animated to match the vocal track of the original English script, then animated again to match the Mandarin Chinese dub.

The Mandarin animation is tricky to come by online because it was animated directly in China, a country notorious for being extremely protective of its… well, everything, but it’s worth looking for! This was one of the only clips I could find still on YT.

I lOOVEEE the animated lotr! <3 its also what i grew up with. This is a cool fact! :D A funny personal fact is that creepy sounds really scare me the most, so the sounds they used for the ringwraiths scared me SOOOOOO badly in the animated lotr that i couldnt sleep well. I was 7 years old at the time and me and my mom came up with fun trivia of our own that why the ringwraiths squealed while riding horses all the time is bc hemorrhoids :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: so it helped me be less scared and laugh at it LOL.

Theres a character in Brave that none of the other characters can understand. I understand every word he says because he is speaking Doric, my family dialect :D Its how people speak in Aberdeenshire!

The sounds in that film are something else!! Parts of it scared me too. LOL but inventing reasons for the screeching is hilarious and a great way to take back control of fears!

I heard that one and it’s so cute! They didn’t date when filming, apparently they bumped into each other years later and fell in love. Halloweentown is my favorite Halloween movie

Another fun couple on and off screen is Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Fred (Freddie Prinze Jr) from the scooby doo movies :) I think they were married during filming of it

Yesss!! I knew that!!! I loved Freddie Prinze Jr and Sarah Michelle Gellar so muchh, stilll do. its fun to think Fred and Daphne were married lol. Ah, the good ole days of the 90s-00s when Freddie Prinze Jr was hot news lol. Miss it. :rofl:

It's so good my dad from the other room came in and said who's watching The Simpsons? :rofl: he also said that I could replace Nancy carthwright and encourages me to become a voice actress <3

I have a USB blue Yettie mic to start with we just need to build out a PC so I can practice recording audio, then I can start building my role portfolio with small gigs to get some street cred lol
