Hello pony friends! I bought my first ever Dream Beauty at the MDPM recently, from a very kind @BethMcBeth :applejack:I thought a while about whether or not I would find the time to restore her, and then resolved to do it, so I bought her. I am beyond pleased with the results!!!!

This is what she looked like beforehand. I actually wasn't sure what color she was supposed to be until I looked her up! She has some paint chipping also, but her hair is amazing <3

I have a homemade UV chamber (cardboard box lined with tinfoil and UV light strips), so I coated her in Salon 40 Creme Developer and popped her in there. I would guess it took around ~30hrs of time in the box with the lights on (rotating positions and reapplying the creme occasionally), and viola:

I was shocked at how well it worked, and relatively quickly too! Thank you so much to the person at the MDPM - I forget your name - who was telling me how well the sunfading process works on hard plastic like that of the Dream Beauties'. I'm so happy to have whitened her successfully, and to add her to my collection as my first Dream Beauty! :Flutter: Thanks again to BethMcBeth for having her for sale in the first place!

That worked so quickly! Congratulations!

Dream Beauties do look very nice. How big are they compared to usual ponies?

Oooh, that turned out REALLY well and you’re right! It was fast! It was only took like 2.5 weeks! What kind of UV setup do you have?

Thanks! They are quite large - I don't have a picture on me to show a comparison, but she's about a head and a half taller than a typical g1.

Right, it went super well! One of my posts last year has a few pics of my setup, but it's pretty low-tech. Just a cardboard box lined with tinfoil and stick-on USB UV lights from Amazon :Flutter:
