What exactly is Salon 40 Creme?

All those are pretty far south for me.

I USED to have luck in my area, there were small thrift stores everywhere and they had no idea what they had.

These days, no dice.

I'm in Richmond :) honestly, I haven't lucked out on MLP in Goodwill in a while. Maybe I just have bad timing but I also have family that likes to thrift and they always keep an eye out too and it's been a long time since ponies have been found in the wild. Although, I only collect G1 so I could just be overlooking the newer gens. I guess they're either getting swiped up quick by others or everyone has cleaned out their "junk" within the past 40 years already LOL

Richmond is listing them online, then.

My local store used to sell video games and consoles, in store. A new electronics department manager came on and then stuff was sent to Richmond for processing. Now, nearly all licensed toys are picked out (local store is a big outlet) and sent off when before there were dozens of Elsas and naked barbies.

In the past (2017-2020, and some after stuff reopened) I found G1s, and many dirty 3s and 4s.

Buying by weight made them low risk for cheap restore projects. I've seen some comments that the North Carolina outlet might still have more good stuff kept in store.

There is extra fine glitter in the Calligraphy section, that is used alongside embossing powder, I discovered. It comes in various colours. (you sprinkle it on wet ink and it sticks, and leaves behind glittery letters, whereas embossing powder leaves behind raised letters.)

Oh! How does embossing powder look on a pony? I have some white and pink.

I wonder if white embossing powder + translucent glitter could be used for a slight sparkle?
