I'm hoping to go see my friend's new house and new cat! :) She just closed on it a few weeks ago, and just adopted a senior cat a few days ago from a divorcing couple who didn't want to keep it. We've been trying to get together but we're both so busy it hasn't happened yet. I can't wait to see what she's done with her new place, and meet her new squishy-faced cat!

It is my last weekend before I start teaching again!!! MUST CLEAN!! I want to give the entire apartment a deep-cleaning, bird cages and all, because who knows when the next chance will be... I would also like to do some sewing and choreographing, as there is a dance festival only a month away that I want to submit something to...

I anticipate this not being a very relaxing weekend... Sigh.

Got a goal of 20,000 new words for my current manuscript to tackle and a 6 year old with pink eye. I am not thrilled with how this weekend is starting up.

I have dogs to move out of quarantine and dip them, and clip them and shoot them. With needles. Fulla vaccines.

Then it's buying feed for the critters, and maybe even us if there's money left! LOL. Weekends are all work for me. Dangit. And I have to find time to paint somewhere.

I'm going to be making a few dozen trays of peanut butter bars for a party that's happening on Tuesday. I also have a pony room to organize and Etsy items to update. I love when I have a lot of work to do. :satisfied:

Ooooo, what kind of peanut butter bars...? Will there be chocolate involved?

But of course! Peanut butter is so much with chocolate :D

They're really simple to make:

Put a bag of pretzels in a processor until they're powder. Lay the powder in a glass or metal pan. Melt some butter and pour it over the pretzels until it's moist.

Take a jar of peanut butter and mix it with a third cup of powder sugar. Mix that up and heat it up. Spoon the warm mixture over the pretzels.

Once that's done melt a bag of chocolate chips and about a half cup of peanut butter in the microwave. When it's melted pour it over the peanut butter in the pan. Put it in the fridge for a few hours and you have deliciousness :)

If someone is allergic to peanut butter they can replace it with canned pie filling. Just leave out the sugar and pour melted chocolate over it. Yum!

Oh dear it sounds like your little niece really loves your toys! I have the same problem with my cousins. However I'm usually to much of a push over to say no! :lolpony:

Trust me you don't come between me and my toys. Its big no no in my family she just has to learn. But I am never mean about. Though she still has given me my Lalaloopsy DVD back yet....

I don't know exactly what I'll be doing this weekend, but my boyfriend has the entire week off, so we'll be going places and doing a lot of different stuff. I'm hoping to get to at least one or two charity shops to look for (probably non-existent) ponies. I think we're probably going to a bird sanctuary on Wednesday, all you can eat pizza with friends on Thursday night, staying in and watching movies on Friday. And if I'm lucky, next weekend maybe I'll get to either go horse riding or to see the Lipizzaner show on Sunday. The schedule still needs to be fleshed out and bookings made if need be. Thinking I need to put aside time for board games or LANing too.
