Guest, The MLPTP's Fundraiser and Prize Giveaway will be returning on June 1st! Check out this thread for all the latest news!
I’m probably the only weirdo who opened the pic and zoomed in to check out the healing as much as possible. Lol
But yes!! You have got this and you are already doing amazingly great. Keep it up and you will be up and going in no time!
I opened the picture
YAY about the church, but I also could have brought a turkey. I have one sitting in the freezer. You must be dying for real food by now. Congrats on being off the pain meds.
We'll hafta start calling you The Liquifier.
:cauldron:
I've been losing little pieces of tape all day.... apparently I scratch at it while I sleep, plus the shower water running down it. It's looking rather ew. Fascinating.
Did they give you more to put on?
I'm another who gets up close and checks out wounds. Working with all sorts of wounded critters I get pretty nosy when it comes to injuries. We'll have to form a "Dang We All Gross" club! LOL
I'm so happy this is healing so well, and so quickly. This is going to open up your range of motion and things will be SO GOOD when you can get back to doing. I am so glad it's all gone so well.
And I'll second the YAY! How kind of them to bring you guys grub. Some people are so kind, it makes you proud!
It definitely helps knowing that there are good people within reach... My elderly neighbor was going to invite us to a thanksgiving meal at his church, but cars=bad right now. Every little jostle. <shudder>
I would definitely be a part of the "dang we gross club". Mostly due to the animals my cats left dissected on the carpets and nobody else being able to stomach cleaning up. Also all my own injuries, pets and family's injuries, and working in the meat and seafood departments. Once I had a mole on my arm. It'd been there as long a I could remember. Then my sister decided to tear it off with her fingernail. It grew back, but it was blue. My mom had it removed and it was benign, but I got to watch the removal, and it was so fascinating.
Yahooo! Soon you'll be able to do things you've been dying to do forever! This is terrific news!Post op went well! They even made me a 1/4 inch taller! Lol. They said that the operation took two hours longer than usual because my bone spurs were so big. They also said that I made them all giggle while I was coming out of anesthesia (I come out very quickly). I'm allowed to move freely as long as I listen to my pain. No actions that may jolt my neck. My weight limit was raised to 7lbs per hand or 15lbs with both hands. I'm allowed to use my stationary bike and do some pt. No lifting past shoulder height.
I remember my OBGYN laughing when I was having my emergency C-section when Action Hank was born. I was laughing and trying to watch the procedure in the mirrored reflection of the overhead light. I said he'd never have anyone laugh during surgery, but i was so excited to have my baby, surgery or not and I wanted to see them bring him out. It was very odd, even though I'd gotten an epidural, I could still feel them tugged on me and realized, that was him cutting me open! Heh. So I laughed. None of it mattered, because I wanted my baby so bad.
And I'm a gore hound, even if the gore is me.
