so i recently got a lot of G3 button pins off ebay for pretty cheap- there's 8 of them. i'm wondering where did these come from & does anyone have the same ones? i want to guess they were just given out back in the day at MLP fairs & events (like the MLP Pony Project) as participation gifts. i like them a lot the metals a lil rusty on the bottoms- i tried a lemon juice/baking soda technique to try and get it off but no dice. will probably have to get some vinegar. it's not a lot of rust tbf but i don't want it to get any worse. they're now in a little baggy all dry & away from moisture

I definitely don't have any like that, but they are cool! Really, though, I just had to giggle at G3 era being "back in the day." Gosh I'm old. Lol!

I have some of these!! it was my understanding they were given out at the san diego comic con? Or at least some of these. Years ago when my mother surprised me with the 2011 comic con tattoo pony in box the person who had sold it to her included a baggy of a few of these buttons and others. I assumed it all came from the comic con since they insisted on selling them together. I could be wrong but I think it was a comic con lot. My mom had also gotten me monster high magnets from the same comic con. I dont remember if they came from the same person.
