I wanted one when I first noticed them at around 7-8 yrs of age, I guess I was a late bloomer mentally since generally you're supposed to start leaving dolls at that age.​

Sitting pose, a la Seashell and Bubbles.

#1 70% and up symbol
#2 70% and up flocking
#3 No dints or cuts or breaks that are irreparable.​

I just collect, I tried watching the show but despite all the fuss of bronies claiming ITS SUPER DUPER UNIQUE AND DEEP I cannot see it at all in the least having grown up with cartoons in the same era - its all cliche and uses every overused comedy element and storyline of every other show.​

Since my collection is small, I doubt it, they'd make neat little house decorations but since most my collection of MLP is become from merchandise an clothing, in that case I'll be using and wearing those out until they fall apart.​

That’s a tough one, I grew up with G1’s so they, like many others, hold a special place in my heart, they started it all, but I also adore the G3’s

My childhood Surprise, Starflower, and G3 Bee Bop, I didn’t buy any G3’s until I spotted her, but there are so many I like, it’s impossible to really tell, I like em all ^^

4. A If you are married or living with or seriously dating a person who is not into MLP, what do they think of your hobby/collection? or B If you are with someone who also DOES like MLP, what do you do together and do you shop together or mix each other ponies or keep separate?
My husband is very supportive and curious about the ponies, which I am very happy he doesn’t mind at all, most people seem to find it ridiculous to collect ponies =( So that he shows interest for my ponies and doesn't mind me buying a few extra ponies, is wonderful, he is awesome!

5. How and when did you become interested/start collecting ponies? From childhood? And why/how/what interested you?
Thanks to my sisters and their ponies, I became an addict very early, and soon started collecting my own ponies, that was when I was 3-4 years old.

Surprise pose

7. List in order the 3 most important things you look for in purchasing a used pony when it comes to hair, eyes, symbols/cutie marks. For example, if nice uncut hair is your biggest want in used ponies, that's #1, or if mint symbols are most important, that would be #1
#1 Nice clean body, no holes, and no smooze
#2 Hair needs to be silky and nice
#3 Symbol and paint, it is the easiest to fix it there should be some wear on it.

8. Do you watch the show(s) (i.e. friendship is magic) or just collect, or both?
I’ve watched the show once, I prefer the older shows that I grew up with, it feels more pony-like to me. I prefer collecting though, I rarely ever watch the old shows, most tapes have gone missing :sadpony:

9. Do you have any tattoos, or dyed hair to look like a pony, or anything like that, or want to?
I’ve been thinking about dying my hair a bluish or lavender colour, but I am not sure just yet =) Mainly because I have super long hair, so it would be expensive.

10. Do you think in 10-20 years you'll still be collecting/owning or think you'll want to sell most or all of your ponies by then?
Absolutely, ponies have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, can’t imagine a life without them =)

Perfect hair is a must. I hate tail rust. Then it's eyes. I really like unrubbed eyes. And no mold.

I have never seen FIM. But I used to watch the old My Little Pony movies.

No, but I do have a blue rose tattoo. Hence the name bluerose.

I'll definitely have ponies in the next 10-20 years. Hopefully by then I will have a daughter to share my pony love with.

3. Do you have ONE favorite pony, or at least a top 3 of all time? My favourites as a kid were Lickety-split and Mimic, but I always wanted caramel crunch... I loved my mimic so much I gave her blue paint marker eyeliner when I was about 10 (groan, why??)

My husband thinks I am crazy. He doesn't understand it but he loves me anyway, even with my 'pony quirks'.. we have a saying when I am on ebay or here or something MLP related, its called - Pony Hunting

I just look if it has marks and/or pony cancer, I can always rehair, clean or touch up paint but those marker marks are pretty impossible to clean.

No I have drawn the line there.

I will never sell them, but I'm not sure if Im still collecting hopefully I have everything I want by then!

Great! I'm glad people are using it! My updating it every month isn't going to waste!

What I'm really trying to do lately is updating those 2009 prices. Some of them are wayyyyy outdated...LOL. Ebay is getting much more pricey for G1s!

I don't mind really (but depends on the price) messy hair that needs a brush doesn't matter to me but is reflected in how much I would pay for them. I love cleaning ponies up but I don't know how to re-hair or re do symbols yet :p (have got one put aside to try soon :D)
If I was spending a lot on her or him they would have to be near perfect though.

I haven't dyed my hair in years I might do some colour streaks (could do redy pink ones like lollipops hair :winkpony: hehe) last time I went to the hair dresses he didn't want to do anything to my hair he said it was too nice called it 'Virgin Hair':LOL: lmao made me laugh for a long time hehe, my hair is really long well past my waste think this is why he said this.

A) I need my to first be one i don't have :) then i go from there tails aren't a big deal b/c i know how to re thread a pony. I hate pens with passion and i get outraged when i see that children were given pens to wreck precious toys. But i valued my toys when i was young so i look for ones in near mint condition

A )I only have watched the original My little pony I have Season 1 and 2 on Dvd As well and The MY Little Pony Movie i have collected others but they've been left in the plastic that they came in.

A ) I have looked into getting a Fizzy Tattoo because i have several however my tattoos are themed which is what has stopped me. I have all Halloween tats so i'm looking into getting abracadabra or Pumpkin Tart instead.

A)Ive tried to sell mine but them i think how darn cute they are so i decide not to. I have belittled myself over it for years "What am i Doing with hundreds of these CUTE small plastic toys??! are there others who would enjoy them more then me??! But then i look at the condition of the ones i find in thrift stores and think how lucky mine are to have a warm place to be kept in to be neat and tidy. :p

Gusty is my absolute favorite. After that, it's hard to pick, but Seashell is up there, and also Gingerbread.

I'm single, but my last boyfriend thought it was cool that I had such a hobby. He wasn't into them. I talked about selling off some of my least favorite ponies like the Sweetheart Sisters, and he encouraged me to keep them so that I wouldn't regret it. He told me that if we were still together for Christmas, he was going to get me a custom Zelda pony. :)

It started by getting Skyflier when I was 4 or 5. The next day, I said that she needed a friend and that's when I got Gusty. Days later, my grandparents got me Posey as a gift, and they had no idea that I had just gotten 2 ponies. That's how it started. I love them.

I'm not into the current ponies. I do have the G1 original series on DVD.

No, that's not something I'm interested in. I had some temporary pony tattoos that were given to me, so I used them, but it's not really my thing.

I think I'll still have my collection. I can imagine getting rid of my duplicates and possibly the ones I'm not into as much, but I'm sure I'll still have a collection and I'll probably continue as I am now in seeking out an occasional international G1 - and of course with my quest to someday own Scoops and her mommy charm.

I became interested in My Little Pony from the age of either five or six. Although I like horses, I think the thing that caught my attention the most was the variety of colors, symbols, and personalities the toys offered.

The most important feature I take into consideration when purchasing a pony is making sure the eyes aren't damaged. I can always re-paint symbols, and often I find ponies with cut hair look nicer than they did originally. :smilepony:

I watch the old G1 shoes on occasion just for fun, but I usually just collect them.

Eighteen. I'm a very "selective"collector and I only buy ponies I really like. In a way I think of them as my pets and I want them to get individual attention, and having hundreds of them wouldn't allow me to do so!

I love all eighteen ponies I own, but coming from the top of my head: Desert Rose, Yesterdaisy and Wysteria. (Yay all flower ponies!)

My boyfriend knows nothing about ponies and thinks the fact that I keep them (as well as all my other childhood toys) is really cute. :tongue:

I must have come across the first batch of G3 Rainbow Ponies in Toys R Us when I was eleven. They were so pretty! After pleading with my parents I ponderously chose Fluttershy out of the dozen because I loved her colours. I knew I wanted more but didn't want to badger my parents so for most of my life Fluttershy is my only pony. (Also I was trying to keep up the façade that I wasn't into girly toys.) As I grew older I put her away and sort of forgot about her.

And then, one day, I came across this picture on Tumblr:

And suddenly I was that eleven-year-old girl in Toys R Us again, staring at rows of glossy-boxed ponies. And I want them! Look at their silky manes and beautiful colours! Why do I have only one! I went on eBay and began compulsively searching for ponies. :LOL:

Probably Beachberry - I find my Spring Breeze's slightly lifted front hoof so adorable. I also like Fizzy Pop because the pony looks like she's stretching.

Argh, can I pick all three? They're all important - I wouldn't buy a pony with either cut hair, scuffed eyes or rubbed symbols. Though she doesn't have to look like mint as I can tolerate messy or dry hair or small marks on the body.

I don't watch the show nor am interested in anything from G4. I collect mostly for nostalgia.

Not really. I don't want tattoos and I haven't even ever got any piercings or dyed my hair! I really like the look of pastel hair, but I don't think I'd want to have it for more than a few days, as having Lulabelle's or Wysteria's hair would clash with my clothes unless my wardrobe were made entirely of pastels. (I am very colour-conscious.) Also roots! :sadpony:

I might not be such an avid buyer any more but I can't imagine ever abandoning any of my childhood friends.

I had two G1s as a child, and when the G3 line was launched, they reminded me of those. I bought one (Thistle Whistle) then I was hooked. I bought up loads of G3s and then started buying G1s as well.
6. What is your favorite pony "pose"?
G1 - Posey pose. G3 - donkey pose.
7. List in order the 3 most important things you look for in purchasing a used pony when it comes to hair, eyes, symbols/cutie marks. For example, if nice uncut hair is your biggest want in used ponies, that's #1, or if mint symbols are most important, that would be #1
1. No major symbol rubs - I'm useless at fine repainting. 2. Uncut hair (but frizz is OK). 3. Eye rubs - not a major if it's only the black that's rubbed, that's easy enough to fix.
8. Do you watch the show(s) (i.e. friendship is magic) or just collect, or both?
Just collect. I have no interest in watching the shows.
9. Do you have any tattoos, or dyed hair to look like a pony, or anything like that, or want to?
Nope. I collect ponies - I don't want to be a pony.
10. Do you think in 10-20 years you'll still be collecting/owning or think you'll want to sell most or all of your ponies by then?
I tend to stick with things pretty well, so I'm sure that if I'm not still actively collecting, I will still own the bulk of my collection.

Fav single pony toy, and not just a pony, is the first pony I ever got. A (now tail-less) Daffodil. Poor thing. I used to bring her everywhere and had her in bed every night, so she is very special to me. :ponylove:

My bf buys me ponies, so I'm lucky :p He's not into ponies, but he's watched some G1 cartoons with me and stuff ^^

When I was only a few years old my aunt sent me a pony, and then another and another. I grew up loving them and wishing for more. All my friends had some, and we'd bring them everywhere :) From there I just continued collecting. For me it started up again as nostalgia, I wanted to buy the ponies I wished for as a kid, and I just never stopped :p This community sure has helped to keep my interest alive, and it's no longer just about the ponies themselves.

6. What is your favorite pony "pose"?

I love Gusty's pose, it's gorgeous. I think it might be my fav.

7. List in order the 3 most important things you look for in purchasing a used pony when it comes to hair, eyes, symbols/cutie marks. For example, if nice uncut hair is your biggest want in used ponies, that's #1, or if mint symbols are most important, that would be #1

#1 Original hair. I prefer it un****, but original is important to me.
#2 No repainted eyes or symbols
#3 I prefer it when there isn't a big part of the eyepaint missing

I'm not really picky about my ponies, so this was har. Original hair and symbols are important, I prefer a scratched symbol and cut hair over a rehair and repaint. I don't mind a little dirt and a pony that needs some love, I can fix most of that :)

8. Do you watch the show(s) (i.e. friendship is magic) or just collect, or both?

I saw 1 episode of FIM once on tv with my little sister. I used to rent VHS tapes with the G1 cartoons.

9. Do you have any tattoos, or dyed hair to look like a pony, or anything like that, or want to?

I'd love both tattoos and fancy pony hair. I might get a pony tattoo in the end, but for now I don't know what or where, but it is an idea that I have considered. My hair is dark purple now, so it's kinda wannabe pony :rollingeyes:

10. Do you think in 10-20 years you'll still be collecting/owning or think you'll want to sell most or all of your ponies by then?

I have never sold any ponies, apart from if I bought a lot of bait ponies or something. But I think I would just pack them away and see. I might sell them sometime, but for now I that isn't anything I would even consider doing. I am still missing a lot of G1 and G2 stuff :tongue:

I have a very supportive husband. He gets me something pony related for every Christmas and birthday. :)

I have nine G1 ponies and 30 G3 ponies plus a few fakies and a bunch of McDonalds ponies from G3 and G4.

I like G3 the best, the poses and hair/body colour combinations are really nice.

I really like Denim Blue, my eyes always go to her first when I look at my collection, and my Rainbow Dash III, just really beautiful colours.

I'm not currently with anyone right now.

Well I know I used to play with mlp when I was a kid, I was bad thought and used to play with them in the bath and ruined them all, my mom had to throw them all out. Then I saw someone selling a mlp lot with G1s and G3s on a swap and buy site and bought them all because I thought my daughter could play with them when she got older, then I discovered I really like restoring them. None of them are in their boxes I'm not that kind of collector. I usually just grab them if I see someone selling them.

I guess the Rainbow Dash pose is nice, I pretty much like any pose where the pony is looking at me.

For me it's all about the hair, if it's in good condition and uncut, second most important is the body, does it have any stains or marks and can I easily remove them? Lastly the symbols, I don't mind if they're a little scuffed up.

I used to really be into FiM then...I just kinda stopped watching it. I've seen Season 1 and 2. I definitely watched the G1 show though and the movie.

Once I did a cosplay of Fluttershy, lol, complete with a pink wig and wings.

I've always had ponies, as long as I can remember. I love horses, so MLP was a natural progression.

I don't like age marks, but other than that, I'm good - I love cleaning and restoring my ponies, so any fixable flaw is fine by me!

I like all of the shows except the later g3/g3.5 episodes, I think they're cute.

I'm considering getting firefly's symbol on my thigh, M RL name is Storm, and MLP is one of my favourite things - the perfect cross between the two.

Oh I'll definitely still be collecting... unless it's on hold for some reason or other, but I'll never sell off my ponies for good.
