I am totally going! I just got my time off from work approved for those dates. :)
 
Fairs are addictive, this will be my 6th, I can't wait. And I can't believe Hasbro will be hosting us, how cool is that?

It would be so cool if you were able to go! Then we could have matching strollers with our new little ones. With our husbands walking behind us with their heads hung low because you know they wouldn't want to be there. lol
 
I wanted to bring to everyone's attention that the dates for the 2011 Fair have changed. It will be held on July 8th and 9th not the 22nd and 23rd. Details as to why this change was made can be found on the first page of this post.

Ponysforme, I would stress that you talk to your doctor about this. I'm not saying you shouldn't, but if it's a difficult birth or there are complications, it may take longer for you to heal, and getting through airport security during that healing time....eh...I don't think you'd like a patdown right then. :( Also, while I admire you introducing your baby to ponies so early, you might be better off doing it from the comfort of your home this year.

I know, me too!! IS THIS CHANGE FINAL??? I don't want to keep changing my vacation requests at work... it would just look bad to my employer. :(

As far as I know this date change should be final (unless we get another change from Hasbro)...I wouldn't forsee this happening though as there are no other commitments that come to mind on their behalf for these dates (con's etc)...

HAHA! It would be so fun to go with our matching strollers! Our husbands would have each other as company! They could talk baseball all day!

But I just don't think that there is anyway I can make it now that they have moved the date up :( 3 weeks after I'm due is just to close.
 
please be carefull mommies to be because you never know what will happen. i missed ri the first time because i was very pregnant then and decided not to chance it.

i wonder how in advance i should by my bus tickets? i got to get them a miminmum of 28 days in advance to get the cheeper price.

Thanks for that information. I had been wondering about that myself. I was telling my friend about it and she said that I should go, cause we only live once. If I go, though, I think I'm getting a hotel and staying for the whole thing. It would only be a few nights, so it wouldn't be that expensive.. I don't think anyway...
 
Sorry for the ignorance, but I've never been to a fair before... do you need to buy tickets beforehand, or is it a just-show-up kinda event? :blush:

so if mew and my 2 sister book the renaissance hotel we all get free entry to the fair and all the fun stuff to? like the movie and ice cream thing?

or do we all 3 have to buy passes to get into the fair also?

So is anyone else making her husband suffer through the weekend? 'Cause mine's going to want some dudes to talk to about how crazy we are for dragging them along.
