Hello all, thought I might bring up a topic of ponies you've gotten by some means, but never thought you'd ever have!

For example, I recently got a Greek Icy Haired Bluebelle and even though she's arrived I still cannot believe I have her, every time I look at her on my desk I just think "Wow she's really here?!?!" Then I have to touch her to make sure she's there and I'm not dreaming! And I still cannot believe it, after looking for her for such a long time, I guess it'll take a long while to believe!

Does anyone have any pony that is like a dream to you? Doesn't even have to be a special pony or pony at all! Or multiple ponies even :)

I'd love to hear of any stories :)

(Hope I don't sound crazy hehe )

When I was young and first started collecting, I thought I would never be able to afford Mimic.
I ventured 70 miles from my hometown to by a lot of 90 ponies for $50 in 2009.
When I arrived there they were, in two dirty garbage bags.
On the TOP of the first bag I opened was Mimic. A little loved, but I was able to clean her up.
I felt like it was a dream for sure!

Pretty much, when I go shop-hopping around antique stores and thrift stores~ I never know what I'm going to come across. I've gotten a nice condition Fire Fly in a alternate pose, two versions of Gusty, G1 bubbles in the sitting pose (had seen it online all the time and always wanted it, but finally got one!) there's some others, but I think I'd have to get out my collection and dig through it Dx

I would say the Nirvanas I have, but that wouldn't be the whole truth.
I took up an interest in Nirvanas when I had the money for it and so I knew I would be able to afford some of them and therefor it's not too unbelieveable that I have them ;)

There is one though and that is Tex of all ponies :p I remember seeing him in the show, in the phamplets and in colouring books as a child and I just fell in love with him. I never thought I would be able to get him though as he wasn't sold in stores at the time I began to take up an interest in ponies and internet was still a long way from existing :p

So when the internet finally came around, I finally was able to get online and buy/trade with other pony lovers and finally came across a Tex I was overjoyed. He's a proud part of my collection today and has been for years :satisfied:

There have been a few for me. Baby Liquorice, because her prices always got insane before I could get a bid on her, but I lucked out one day and she came home. :) TAF Yum Yum. Wow. I had a friend looking out for her too, because more turn up on US Ebay than UK, but we were constantly losing them all because the bids got too high. Then I found a repaired one on the Arena, and won another with staining off Ebay. Funny how it works!

And now of course I've still got ponies I think I might never own, hehe, but I guess I'll carry on and see what happens!

For me it was G3 Eveningwear Sparkleworks. My mom bought her to keep around in case she needed a last-minute gift for something. She was in the basement in one of those clear plastic tubs, and I'd go downstairs occasionally and look at her. I asked for her almost every birthday, but for some reason my mom continued to say no (I'm still not sure why). Finally, when I decided to start collecting ponies a few years ago, my mom gave her to me. So I consider her the first pony I got as a collector, which is rather special. I really never expected to get her.

PATCH. PatchPatchPatchyPatch Patch.

And wasn't that the ordeal of the year... ^^;; I won't bore you with the whole story. Though... it's in the TP archives somewhere, if anyone's interested I'll go look for it. For now I'll just say that thankfully one of the mods here was the sweetest thing ever and helped me throughout the whole thing. Now Patch stands proudly next to my D-Arts Mewtwo, yet another toy I never thought I'd have. :satisfied: Sometimes I do still do a double take, I guess part of me still hasn't registered she's there. Same with Fizzy. I think of the movie, and go like "yeah, I should get one of the main ponies in the movie" and then I look at my shelf and facepalm "Duh, that's right, I have Fizzy!"

Macau Jenny! But lo and behold, I got extremely lucky and purchased on off Kar. <3 She is utterly beautiful and only leaking plasticizer just a little, but other than that, is pretty flawless.

There are many such ponies for me. I was planning to try to limit my response to one pony per generation for this post ..... uh-oh! Maybe I should! I'm thinking of too many!

Okay, forget the generations.

Sweet Stuff!
Lily Lightly ♥
Rainbow Dash variant with rainbow gradient leg
Great big Toola Roola plushie, so cuddly!

I keep beautiful Lily Lightly right here on my desk to remind me constantly how lucky I am to have her in such beautiful condition! I wanted her when she was new, but was recovering from a serious illness. When I finally got out of hospital, she was no longer sold in stores and she was sold out on the Hasbro online store I used to shop at in those days. I found her on ebay and Amazon, but for such outrageous prices, I couldn't afford her. Finally just this year, a friend I met here on the TP found her in near perfect condition. There is a small yellow stain on the edge of the white part of her gown, but it's hardly noticeable, and she's just so beautiful, she looks alive to me! I know it's because of her eyes, but I think what made her so special to me is that I thought I'd missed the boat and I couldn't find her anymore. I almost feel guilty having paid such a low price for her.

Sweet Stuff is just so cute in the original show (I like Baby Shady and Baby Lofty for the same reason, Baby Lofty mainly for her voice), I wanted one, but it took forever to find her in good condition. I finally found one a year or two (or three?) ago, and she's in perfect condition.

Rainbow Dash had her picture in the newspaper ages ago, and I kept a clipping for years. It was the variant with the rainbow gradient up her leg. The picture was in grey scale, but she just looked stunning in the picture! At the time, it hadn't occurred to me that other adults might still like My Little Pony, especially G3, so I was thrilled to find my own personal passion in the paper. I don't remember even reading why Rainbow Dash had a picture in the paper for some reason, and I've long since lost the clipping. I just know that since that day until about a year ago, I searched everywhere for her, and never even found her at a bad price. Finally, the same friend who found me Lily Lightly sent me a picture of Rainbow Dash and offered a price. I don't remember the price. I just grabbed her and ran (I did pay what she asked). I've tried a few times taking pictures of her to try to recreate what I saw in the paper those many years ago, but I'm really not a good photographer and I've never been able to capture the look, but she's still beautiful with those vibrant colors.

I wrote a lot! :surprisepony:

Argie Paradise...I don't have one yet, but I'm in the process of making a custom that looks just like her:)

Twinkle Twirl Gumball Machine. She has been one of my wants for soooo long! Until I found an auction for 7.00 bucks then saw no one else wanted her. So I snatched her and filled her with chocolate pomegranates. They melted and clogged her D:. At least she smells amazeballs!
And Baby Quackers. She is just so pretty and dorky :p

TAF Yum Yum. I thought she'd be as difficult to find as Night Glider and Munchy, but she ended up being one of the first G1s that I purchased. She was part of a lot of 12 for $50, so she only cost me about $4. I still want Night Glider and Munchy, but I doubt I'll ever get my hands on them.

It took me forever to finally get a Tales Bright Eyes. Every time I found one, I would get outbid at the last minute or find out someone had already PMed the seller before me. I was so happy when I finally found one for sale in my price range that wasn't spoken for already!

For me it was NBBE Baby Ribbon. I didn't think I'd ever be able to afford her but a member on here was ebaying some of her collection and I manged to snipe her for a good price. I also got Baby Applejack and Baby Buttons from her too. They were my first ever non US babies that I had ever gotten.

Then there was TAF YumYum. I thought I wouldn't get her until I was at the fair in RI. And I think I only paid $25 or $30 for her and her hair was is still decently pink too.

Some of my Brazilians for sure, and definitely my Spain Milky Way. In Milky's case it was more because there are so few of her.

Has to be my Munchie. She's had a haircut, but her symbols are bright and her eyes are perfect. I can replace hair. Although she is fetching with a bob.

I just thought she was so quirky, I had to have her.

I never thought I would have Alternate Birthflower September or Mimic. Both I gave up on because of the price.
