another pic thread.. FILTHIEST ponies?

ohh, I have two zombie ponies! one is a Blossom with all paint removed (but has the awful FF white patches, along with some light pink marker staining) and the other is a BBE Lofty I got from Whippetluv, whose eyes are missing! As soon as I find him again I'm totally taking pictures..
 
This is one of those oh if only I had a photo moments!

About 5 years ago (long before I'd even heard of digital cameras) I was helping to pull up the roots of an olive tree we'd had removed and there in amongst the roots right near were a pond had once been was a Baby Sleepy pie. My baby sleepy pie she went on an adventure about 15 years earlier and disapeared. My god, she was so disgusting, rusted, and covered in wierd, wierd slimy stuff that had gone dry, and home to a very cross spider. White she was not and even after having been soaked in a bleach bath, an oxy bath and shoved on a windowsill she was still a very distinct greenish colour! And let's not start on her mane and tail....I mean it was meant to be blue..
 
Oh gosh, this thread makes me wish that I had "before" pictures of my poor Moondancer! She was pretty on the outside, just slightly off-white with perfect hair. But I noticed a little bit of discoloration around her tail hole, so I opened her up to check. At first I thought she was covered in mold... but as I started to clean her I realized that it was so much rust that it was nearly black! Needless to say, Moondancer got that washer removed. But I had to chip it off her tail.

I was totally amazed that the rust hadn't spread into her tail and mane.
 
Ew, I got some!

Bow Tie's tail... it's like a stick, it's so dry and stiff. And I don't know what she has on her, but the color reminds me of barf.

And poor, poor Applejack! I seriously do NOT know what is coating her, I don't WANT to know. And her tail is halfway out, that just looks painful.

EDIT: AGH! AGH! IT WON'T COME OFF! That STUFF on Applejack WILL NOT COME ALL THE WAY OFF! It feels like soap scum, but even nail polish remover isn't taking it away. Bow Tie is stained too, though I totally expected that...

If it feels like soap scum on Applejack, have you tried removing it with Magic Eraser? I mean, Magic Eraser removes soap scum from my shower pretty good, I imagine that it might work on ponies too...

I haven't yet, but it sounds like I should. The poor girl has a good body, she'll make a great custom... but only if I can get rid of the filth! D:

heeee.. lol i bought that firefly!!

i bought her as a challenge, i think i won her for 99 cents. turned out alright, not perfect by far, but alright well enough. lotsa tail rust though
 
xD Holy crap at the stories and pics!! :lol:

No pics, but I had a Baby Celebrate that I took in the bath all the time when I was a kid. Her hair became discolored and slimey, and I remember cutting a bit of it off because it got so nasty. Her once-white body became solid brown-grey on the outside, there was so much black mold within o___O

I think I still have her in two pieces here somewhere...I was going to clean her out and use her as a custom...but *shudders*
