*EDIT 15. August.2010*

Guess what everyone...he's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack and he's at it again. What it looks like is that he created a new account with a smilar name and has, once again, taken my customs (including one of my Kyas-how *smart* can you be? I mean EVERYONE knows that's MY persona after all) and has been posting them without giving me credit for them. I have created a FB account now (good ra FB is so stupid!! ) so I can report him for this violation, and I have made Hasbro aware that he is at it again as well. I, however, cannot comment on anything already posted atm (like I said FB is stupid!)

Everyone else please go and check his other posts; there are other pieces of artwork he's posted that I'm not sure if they're stolen from other members of the MLP community or not. He is now calling himself "Junior Silvra Rodrigues Junior"

Also, the user "Michelle Passi Parra" has posted Ristvak's icon image of the 3-9 Tunefull I made her a while back. I wasn't sure if I could flag that though or not.

So please, be aware that this guy isn't just an uninformed non-English speaker who doesn't understand English copywrites and stuff; by creating another account and doing it again even after being reprimanded for it, it shows that he is doing this on purpose in my book.

My FB account is under ny psydoname "Katherin PenDragon", so as fgar as I'm concerned other than a "Denko" family member, or the KT page that is the ONLY place you should be able to find ANY of my artwork.

----

It has come to my attention that there is a FB User who has stolen most of my Minty customs and artwork, and has been posting it as his own on the My Little Pony offical page. This guy is NOT me-I do not have a FB account (and have no intention to get one), and I do NOT know this person so there is no chance in heck that he has my permission to use ANY of my stuff.

My mother has already gone through and commeneted on every picture (we're pretty sure), and made a general comment that he is indeed a theif, on my behalf. I am posting this to let others know that I need you to do the same and/or to watch out and make sure he doesn't take any of YOUR artwork either.

This is not the first time my artwork has been stolen and put onto another web site that I was not a member of; that member though was banned TWICE (yes he was stupid enough to try to do it again after the first time) thanks to a joint effort from my family, their friends, and my friends. I'm hoping for a similar outcome this time (minus the second whammy because that's just stupid). It's events like this that shows the need to TM the bejebers out of your artwork, but to do that you'd ruin the piece. It's quite a conumdrum.

But I wanted to make you all aware of what is going on. So if you see any artwork of mine not belonging to anyone on FB with the surname of "Denko" (it's alright, I know I said it), OR if it is not a part of the KT fan page, then it most likely has been stolen from my person. So please, be aware.

I really wish people would stop stealing other's artwork. Sadly, I've seen this happen a lot in our community. Not by our members, but by people like on eBay and things stealing art from our pony community and trying to sell it and things, putting it on shirts, etc.

I'm really sorry this has happened to you Kat, especially more than once. I'm not on FB either, so I can't really keep an eye out for you, but I hope it gets resolved and that they are forced to take everything down since it's yours, not theirs.

Thanks BB that's helpful. To tell you the truth, even though I am mad about this, I can't help but laugh at it. The guy must really like my stuff, and Minty because he took EVERYTHING. That is what I find rediculous. But even though I can laugh at a small part of this, I am mad.

When you put stuff on FB, they retain the copywrite to it. I didn't give them that, and I get a limited copywrite through dA, but still. Since the pictures are on FB, FB can do whatever they want with it and I am NOT ok with that. Also since it's on the Hasbro page, if they like the concept HE gets the credit when I'm the one that REALLY should get it, and that's wrong. I want a job with them...

But so yes. Thank you for your support. Thank you to everyone who is giving support whether on the site or just in spirit.

I went through and posted, in spanish:

"Tome estas fotos abajo, que no son suyos! Estos son robados!"

Which means...

"Take these photos down, they are not yours! These are stolen!"

Hopefully, he'll get the point. I'm sorry you're going through this!

that is really messed up. there is like over 20 things of yours on there. that is pretty rude of him to steal your photos and upload them without your permission. im not seeing anything saying he made them though.

theres also some from a girl on the Arena :( Maybe he doesn't understand because he's not speaking english

That is just appalling, i hope they get taken down. You could maybe create a facebook account to sort this out and then delete it once the images are taken down? I hope it gets sorted in any case *hugs*

Maybe you should start putting your name across your pictures before posting them.

Well you can see my TM mark on my Digital Drawings, but I don't usually ut it or my name on my hand drawings or photos because they usually aren't all that good and no one's ever taken them before. but also because it takes away from the picture imo. but if this is what happens then mayhaps i should and that's sad really.

He also stole art from LunaCat that she made for FizzyPop. I sent them both a PM, but I don't know if they'll read them soon. Maybe someone can send them messages on dA. I don't have an account there.

I'll go message them on dA. i think i watch both of them on there. they've probably already gotten alot of messages by now about it, but one more wouldn't hurt. i was afraid that he'd go and steal from other people too; now that he's been yelled at for my stuff, just go do it from someone wjo won't i guess

Have to say...hate facebook and hackers! :cussing:

I've had custom content I made for The Sims 2 stolen before (more than once) so I know how it feels. I know some people do it because they want people to tell them how awesome they are (stupid reason) but I think some people just do it because they think they can get away with it or to **** off the real creator. The whole theft issue is why I don't create for The Sims 3. I guess it happens with any kind of digital art though. Unfortunately, people think just because something is on the internet, it's up for grabs.

I don't know whether or not you need to have an account to do this, but here's what you need to know about copyright/intellectual property theft and how to report it.

How to Report Claims of Intellectual Property Infringement

Facebook is committed to protecting the intellectual property of third parties. On this page, rights holders will find information regarding how to report copyright and other intellectual property infringements by users posting content on our website, and answers to some frequently asked questions regarding our policies.
If you are a user concerned about the removal of your content, you may file a counter-notice. You can do so through the email notification you received, or in the warning at the top of your home page.

How to report claims of copyright infringement by users

To report a copyright infringement by a Facebook user, all you need to do is fill out our automated DMCA form. This form is the fastest way to report a copyright infringement. Although we will review reports in all languages, it will speed our review if you can submit your report in English.
If you prefer, you can also send a DMCA notice to our designated agent (information below).
How to report other claims of intellectual property infringement by users

If you wish to report other claims of intellectual property infringement (i.e. non-copyright) by a Facebook user, all you need to do is fill out our automated IP infringement form. We appreciate your cooperation in providing an English translation of your report, when possible.

Can I report the infringement of someone else's intellectual property rights?
If you are not the IP owner (or the authorized representative of the owner) you cannot report a suspected infringement to us. If you believe that content on the Facebook website violates another party's IP, you should advise the rights owner directly.

well i looked eariler today and all of my artwork was removed. then again, as a non-FB user i went to it through Google so i possibly might not have been shown it. but still, here's hoping it's been, or is being fixed

oh definitely not. It's still there and he even added new stuff 5 hours ago stolen from someone else I assume.
