Attn New and Old members, do you like International/Variant Ponies?

Don't forget Mexicans! Mexican ponies usually go for cheap because they're usually filthy. A little elbow grease and they clean up lovely!

It's true, the International ponies are usually SO interesting in color-scheme compared to what I'm personally "used to" seeing on certain ponies here in the US. When I finish collecting the US ponies, I am probably going to try to find one of my favorites that was made in several different countries and find as many variations of that one as I can...

I personally have been drawn to some of the Twilight (and yes, Medley too!) variants that I've seen around... but, I have to put that on the back burner or I'll never accomplish my collecting goals, heh!

nice to hear there are so many argie fans!! ^_^
they are my FAVORITE and i ONLY collect argies now. i have sold all my other mlps (save my childhood ones of course)
i currently have 106 and 2 more coming in the mail. my goal is to own all of the argies although some are SOOOOO rare that i doubt that its truly possible. a girl can dream tho!!

if you care to see my Argie collection thus far, CLICK ON MY SIG!!!

Hey relcelestia! Its great to see you :) Your collection is gorgeous! :wow: There's not doubt about it, Argie's are amazing! My Argie Medley is my fav. version of the different variants I own. I've got the lavender haired version. I am in love with your light purple Heart Throb w/green hair!!

I LOVE variants! The Greek bug hit me hard recently (and my wallet) and while I only have 1 with 1 more on the way at the moment, there's plenty more I'm looking to buy right now. However, the pride and joy of my collection will probably always be the girl in my avatar :heart1:

love! My latest buy is Greek, but I dont have a particular fave country.. I collect ponies from all of them

Are you referring only to the ones that have US counterparts, or ponies that were produced in other countries but not the US/UK?

I am not into collecting, for example, every variant of Blossom, but I am interested in some of the unique ponies from other countries, like Raindrop, Nightlight, the Nesthakchen babies, the 1995 Dutch ponies, and a few others. Does this count?

Oh yes. I have a few varient ponies. My most numberous is of Gusty. I have standard version, so soft, non so soft UK, and Italian versions. I also have a few Peachys. I'm not keeping many of my newer ponies in multples accept for PVC and rooted hair G4s. G5s? Whatever we have settled on the number for the new line...

I would say yes as otherwise it wipes most of my childhood collection out of the running. ;) That and it says international. :p

I would love to collect variants, but it's so much harder to set a goal because who knows what magical little gem could pop up and be sooo expensive, but I agree about the UK/non-US ponies, such as the German Rainbow Ponies...

Those two are two of my favorite girls in my collection. To me, they have those same kind of "funky" color patterns that we didn't see too much on the US ponies... especially the dark blue body, I LOVE blue ponies, heh.

Good crap, I love variants. I was taking a bath last night and I looked up at my "holding pen" (read: spare bathroom countertop) and just saw this wall of variants I need to clean and photograph before putting them with their respective groupings. It made me smile. :D
