I just didn’t realise they were already shipping and arriving to people yet! I saw the photo and I was like “huh?! People are getting their hands on them now?! Why haven’t I seen any photos and reviews yet? Have I missed something?”

Thanks for the heads up! I got them to stash away for my Christmas. Wander why not all 4? Will they also get the mini blind bags and the rescue at midnight castle??
 
I was able to preorder 3 out of the 4 on Amazon. It said the release date was Sept 5.
 
Is there any difference between the original collector set and the re-release for 40th anniversary? Did they change anything other than the packaging?

It’s not far as I can tell, no. I looked at the bottom and they all still say bridge direct, which was the old name that basic fun was going with at one point around the 2017 era. The back of the box implies that they were supposed to be sparkly in some manner, and I think that’s what that pearly set is supposed to be. But ultimately feel free to skip them unless they are on sale or you’re a completionist like me.

Mine are on display high up, and if nobody supplied a picture of the back of the box of the 40th ones by the time I have to take them down for some scheduled maintenance that we have later this month, I’ll supply one.

I wish it was like the initial prototype images we got where the 40th was incorporated into the cutie marks. It would’ve at least made them unique.
 
Are the Celestial Ponies going to be sold in store at Target? Or Meijer? Or in store at Walmart? And if so, when? I have little hope of getting one form online, they are sold out literally everywhere! But maybe once they hit stores I will have a better chance.
 
Oooh, I like Nova. If they ever make it to Canada....

I don't know how I'm going to be able to afford the complete set when they get into stock again I can't believe they finally release the celestial ponies I've been waiting for them to release this since basic fun got the rights to make G1
I hope scalpers don't buy them let's just hope that there will be enough in stock by my birthday

If for some reason they don't, there are many collectors here who would be happy to help you get them from the US <3
 
Oh look at that, I did take a picture of the back of the boxes!

Now I do have poor eyesight so if anybody can find a difference with these releases, maybe they just used the same molds and there’s a paint job difference on the cutie marks, feel free to let me know. But I didn’t notice anything.

I just snagged the 3 Celestials and several retro releases I missed. Walmart made BANK tonight with me. But it's been a long, difficult week, and I have to drive into Baltimore tomorrow (sob!!!) so I needed a treat.
