Whisper with real horse hair:
Years ago, I made a few custom ponies. Some were gifts and are not in my possession to be able to take pictures of. Later today if things are not busy at work, I'll go pull those images from my livejournal just to share them. But below for now are the two I just made for myself, one from a Majesty whose cutie mark had rusted, and one from a G3 named Daisy Jo. She had completely cut hair, but the body was in good shape so she didn't need painted. I am no artist, so I did their cutie marks and eyes in swarovski crystals.

This one I made as a gift for my cousin, with whom I collected ponies growing up. She was based on Apple Jack, and I called her Paddy Gladden. (I am very Irish, but my red-headed cousin is even MORE Irish. Lol!) I am still amused that I did her photoshoot in front of my waterfall screensaver on my computer at the time.
Here is a much more recent custom my daughter and I did. She doesn’t collect ponies, as she prefers the real thing - or at least Breyers that look like the real thing. But she does seem to enjoy this baby pony with a hummingbird cutie mark. I don’t think we ever named her.
And I did recently become interested in flocking ponies. I tried to do a Firefly for my first attempt but didn’t do it quite right. A second try yielded better results.
I've also flocked a few baby Fireflies now, and a Bowtie!
