Ever lose a pony so irrevocably precious to you...?

unfortunately, my first ever pony. Minty from the first G3 line... it makes me so sad... i just dont know what happened to her... the last place i remember her being is the floor of my closet but i cleaned that out not too long ago and there was no trace of her...

I found a Majesty when I was about 7 at a carboot sale. She may not be one of the rarest but I adored her. I just knew that she was an 'old' pony and that I should look after her. I had to keep her under my bed, with my other toys (mainly vintage). So I used to pretend that it was her 'magical cave', full of treasures. When I decorated my room, my mum moved my bed (and everything underneath) without telling me. I checked everything was underneath, and everything except Majesty was. Iwas distraught.

We redecorated my room last year (several years since she dissapeared), and I was looking under my bed for my remote. I saw a pony pony shaped outline through one of my containers full of (as my mother calls it) sentimental 'junk'. It was Majesty still in minty condition. I was astounded, and still am! :)

Well, I think I might've lost a Ponytail Petite during moving 14 years ago... Not that I've ever been that much into my Petites, sadly. Also, identifying her is hard, because I honestly can't remember her colors, none of the ones I see pictured online ring any bells, and looking at the ones I have, I have 2 from the 1st set, one from the 2nd and 2 from the 3rd. So I either got two packs with random ponies or I got all three and I lost a LOT more ponies than I thought. o_o I'm betting on the former.

When I was 11, I did lose a pair of Lion King plushies that I'm still sad about, Kissing Nala and Simba. Nala was mine, Simba was my brother's, and we lost them at the same time. X( Though other than (very annoying) exception, luckily I've been pretty careful with my stuff since I was a kid.

I have those very same ones! Are you looking to replace them?

Oh, hun.! :bighug:
I know the feeling... I had a uk Confetti... she was snowwhite and had glittery symbols... and the unuiqe thing whit her was that one green and one red confetti had a blur that I loved to stare at... But as I grew up I noticed that she was gone... I realized that I had left her at a friends place that had moved... I never got her back... sure I have bought an other, that is probably in better shape since the other one had some fabric fail on her mark and this one don´t... but it is not the same... I will never have my long life friend back... :-(
At least I still have my Majesty... and I´m holding on to her with all my hands... When I have moved I have allways taken the box with ponies myself... just to make sure that they are treated nice and aren´t lost...
I do hope you will find your Mimic, even if you don´t think you will... the loss of a childhood pony is terrible... :rose3:

I had my most precious ones in my carry on as I had to fly to live here. :) My family thought I was a little odd for doing that. I wonder what security thought when they saw my bag pass through the scanners. They didn't say a peep to me! hehe.

Baby Racer- no idea what happened to him. :( My dad bought him for my birthday when I was little and I just adored him. I was so sad when I saw how much he'd cost to replace when I got an ebay account.

When I was little, My Grandmother bought me G1 Curlylocks at a flea market. So, I got her used, but she was still special to me. I put a lot of my toys in the basement when rearranging it. I lost both her and G1 Bubblefish. My basement floods a lot, so a lot of stuff will get damaged if left on the ground. A few years ago I was cleaning the basement, and I would Bubblepop under a crate!!! I was happy to see her, but horrified to find mane and tail rust on her, as well as rust stains all over her body. Luckily, I'm not a person who NEEDS to have mint condition ponies, and since she meant a lot to me, I gave her a bath and returned her to my bookshelf. I continued to look for Curlylocks, but I have yet to find her. I deemed her as missing.

My friend bought me a Curlylocks two years ago! While she's not the same exact one, I'm happy to have her, because she brings me the memories of my original one. :>

Well, at least I know I'm not alone! I found another Mimic for $80 in some small, forgotten corner of the internet - and an old pony friend helped me out by paying for half just because they knew how much my original Mimic meant to me. <33 She arrived today. Save for some spots of pony cancer/regrind here and there, she's pretty much perfect. Brightest pink stripe in her hair that I've ever seen on a Mimic even in photos, bright green body, nice shiny eyes...

But still. I'm holding her now and I still feel this... emptiness inside. I wish I could get rid of it. But I'm afraid nothing will ever be able to replace my original Mimic. Such a sad realization to come to.

This is so heartbreaking! I've always wanted a mimic for myself, and I know it's not the same, but I'll donate one if I find one before you do. You definitely deserve to have her back!

That is exactly how I feel about my UK Confettti... I don´t feel that LOVE that used to fill me up every time I held her or looked at her... just emptiness... And no, nothing will ever replace your Mimic... sad but true... :sadpony: But I can consolt you with that it gets easier with time not to think to much about her... even though times will come that you miss your beloved pony... :cry2:

I haven't lost a pony yet, (though I seem to have misplaced Honeybuzz) but I did lose my favorite stuffed animal when I was a kid. She was an orange horse, and I loved her so much... *sigh*

Thank you so much. I found a replacement one now, but thanks for your kindness!

Sad. :( Yeah, I mean my original Mimic went to my high school Prom with me. I have pictures. Ugh it's just so heartbreaking!

Some of these stories are so sad! I have a couple that are missing when I moved they were packed up to my parents house (i hope).

You know, maybe someday, when you least expect it, you'll move a couch or look behind something and she'll be there! I'm glad you found a replacement one though! It's so hard to lose something so special to you. Wish you luck!

Almost- I bought this BEAUTIFUL SS Satin n Lace off eBay, and I almost lost her in the mail. I thought for sure she was lost...but then- I got her! It turned out the seller had printed my address not-so-clearly, so it was sent to the wrong address, then sent to me. :)
