Hi everyone! I found a G1 - Year 5 Checklist online and thought the rest of you might want to print one out for your pony collection! Enjoy!
Guest, The MLPTP's Fundraiser and Prize Giveaway will be returning on June 1st! Check out this thread for all the latest news!
Sundance is there because she was originally apart of the set. If you look at the prototype of the Pony Friends set, each animal was supposed to come with a human counterpart. Molly and Sundance were supposed to be the human and pony friends. Sadly, Hasbro didn't green light the human friends and just stuck with the animals. Thus the BBE Sundance and Molly were the only "little girl and baby pony" set officially released and Hasbro never updated the artwork. (Remember this was a time (long before photoshop and easy manipulations) that they would of had to commission a whole new bit of artwork, it was more cost effective to keep what they had than spend the extra money.)Mimick and Locket are so gorgeous, but what is Baby’s Sundance doing in the “Pony Friends” section, are they her friends specifically?
Ohhh that makes sense! Huh, looking at the prototype image it’s kind of a shame they didn’t end up going thru with it, its a really cute idea and the humans have adorable designs that match each friend. Not a big fan of the bridle on Baby Sundance tho, feels a bit weird of an accessory to come with a “friend” two-pack, you know what I mean?Sundance is there because she was originally apart of the set. Well, in MLP bridles are as much a fashion accessory as anything else, and if you're gonna give someone a ride reins give them something to hold onto (not everyone's an alicorn with a built-in seatbelt).Ohhh that makes sense! I always held on with my legs... sometimes a hand full of mane, too. We rode around with a bareback pad and a halter all the time. Even went over jumps that way. My pony was awesome.Well, in MLP bridles are as much a fashion accessory as anything else, and if you're gonna give someone a ride reins give them something to hold onto (not everyone's an alicorn with a built-in seatbelt).
From a real-world standpoint it was just to match the Megan and Sundance sets.
