G4 Surprise Doll--Fact or Fiction?

I asked my bro to find me a certain picture of Princess Cadence, and he came up with this picture of a G4 Surprise doll...IN A BOX!! Soooo...what I'm wondering is--is this legit or did someone make one heck of a good fake? Has anyone even heard of a G4 Surprise? I haven't, so...what do you all think?

Well, AJ has been a staple in the series as a whole.... why not Surprise? She'd be nice to have. I haven't heard of one, though.

My guess is she is a custom. I think that based on her name on the packaging. It's not consistent with all of the other pony name fonts. I wish she was real though.

Given the fact that the font on her name is different than everyone else's, the hedgehog's paint job looks nothing like the other hedgehogs in the line, and that surprise was supposed to be in the mane 6 but Hasbro wouldn't allow it, I'm calling fake.

My guess is that it's one of those bootleg fakies (the ones that might pass for the real deal except something is always a little off) esp since her little friend has Sonic's coloring and red sneakers!

I say fake too, but that would be pretty awesome if she was real, as Surprise is one of my favorite G1s. And yeah, the hedgehog does look like Sonic lol.

Yeah, I've seen it on deviantArt. It's not real, just a custom.
I don't think Hasbro could make any of the G1's because for some legal reasons..(?) Correct me if I'm wrong...
They couldn't use Surprise, so they made her into Pinkie Pie...so I guess they can't make her into a toy...?

The eyes, the font on her name, the quality of the portrait, the Sonic-like hedgehog... Yep. Definitely fake. Would be awesome, but it's fake.

On the "Hasbro lost the names" thing, I call foul. With Transformers, they ran into a bit of a problem when they stopped using the G1 names for the Beast Era, and had to buy many of them back, or in case they couldn't, or the names were too nonspecific to qualify as trademarks, they resorted to other measures, such as renaming characters or sticking "Autobot" or "Decepticon" in front of the name, such as "Autobot Jazz".
I think that that they just wanted to start a consistent MLP universe starting from what G3 had built, as with Transformers: we'd get G3 Pinkie Pie and G4 Pinkie Pie, just like we got, say G1 Prowl and Animated Prowl. Two characters with the same base, but inherently different. So they had Lauren Faust use characters from G3 as opposed to G1, since they probably thought nobody would remember them. Why they let Applejack stay, though, is beyond me... Maybe to at least throw a bone at the longtime fans?

I think shes fake i mean her pet heghog is coloured like sonic the hedhog with red boots so obviously its a fake but hasbro should make more g1s

i'd love that too be real, but since pinkie was based on her (i believe) then i doubt it! also as everyone has pointed out its too strange looking (not bad, strange) to be real...

Nice idea for a custom though! just wish G4 weren't so hard to re-hair! lol
