Glow reroots: now it’s an army! Custom Prince Firefly

Shimmerlocks’ baja breeze/doll hair emporium’s light blue glow blend with light rainbow tinsel (2 packs). Her hair was a blotchy blonde color instead of yellow and it was dry and “crunchy.” Glow hair kind of embraces the faded look of her eyes and symbol….

Well, this got me going…. Now it’s an army.


It’s “who would have had glow hair if it was just a regular color” army. The idea is to imitate the original hair colors, but make them glow!

Princess Dawn isn’t really part of the army, but I made her glow warm colors (no green!) like the “rosy fingered dawn” in Greek mythology.

You may have seen the army growing on Facebook, but my rerooting finger needs a break, so it’s time to show it here. There’s plenty more to go, I’m about halfway through.

I’ve also lost at least 40 lbs in the 9 months since making a million versions of my ponysona. Also built up a lot of muscle- getting back to the old me. *results not typical, I weaned off medication that had caused weight gain*

This army is not about other special glow features, just sort of a “who woulda had glow hair?” fantasy of mine. Enjoy!

Oh my god you guys are so sweet! There were these glow nail decals on Etsy shaped like moons, circles, and 4 pointed stars. Very inexpensive. Dipped a paintbrush in high gloss liquitex varnish as an adhesive.

Actually, I got to use them on Firestar first, as I recently went on a She-ra kick, and just had to make a custom:
