G1 Grey or black eyeliner on ponies?

I have these 2 Tickles ponies, both are made in Hong Kong. When the second one arrived I checked if there are any differences and I noticed that the eyes are slightly different. One has clearly black and more matte eyeliner, the other is a bit shinier and the paint is rather dark grey than black. Otherwise I think they are identical. I have read somewhere that the eyes of euro release ponies are rather grey or dark brown. Is there any "rule" or something for this? May this Tickle be made for European market, or just different factory, production line etc.?

It looks like the one on the left has been a bit more well-loved, so it might be faded like the blush. I'm not well-versed in international ponies, so if someone else knows about that I'd love to hear if it is a unique release!

i think maybe some ponies just have different colors sometimes, im not sure why. i think my windy has brown eyelashes, and my raincurl has grey, but most have black. im not sure what the reasoning is ^__^

Many of my ponies look like this, or have the dark gray instead of black eyelashes. Usually, I’ve found that it’s just love and wear on the eye paint rather than how it was printed. I looked on the MLP Wiki page for Tickle, and yours could have been an Italy or Spain release just based on colors. The easiest way to check this is under the hoof - it’ll say made in Spain or Italy if it is a Euro release pony. Since yours was made in Hong Kong, I’d chalk this up to faded black paint.

This is propably irrelevant, but a lot of G3s have navy or even royal blue lashes. It's usually the lighter colored ones there, but there are some exceptions. I have theory, that it's the more feminine ones, because it's usually the ones with the poofy dresses, and pretty shoes and tiaras, but then again all of my Rainbow Dashes have black lashes, and she has the voice actor and the personality of G4 Rarity.

Edit: I checked, and actually, my giant plush Rainbow Dash has blue lashes. Theory confirmed. Hardfem ponies have blue lashes. Sorry, I had to.

Thanks everyone so far. I also thought that it can be faded, but I checked some of my ponies and this grey looks intact and very similar to some Euro releases, like in the pictures attached below. I compared the colour to Paintingtime and Baby Pictures. (And also similar to my Dance and Prance ponies. But all of the mentioned are made in China).

Also there are 2 Poseys, on the left is the Euro version with magenta tulips. On the right is the "regular" one with faded tulips and black eyeliner.

So who knows? Maybe this is random and depends on the factory. Or may be faded as well.
