Halloween ATC -- it's wrap-up time!

Oh... My god!

Well I finally know why my first package never made it.
And my second one nearly met the same fate!

I put my 2nd batch of lineart cards in the mailbox on Tuesday, thinking that LadyPhoenix would be getting them soon. Thank God for my neighbor. He just stopped by and handed my dad my letter! Apparently a whole stack of outgoing mail was sitting in his driveway! And apparently my mailman is an imbecile! I really can't believe this. I though the first time, it was an honest mistake somewhere in the postal system and that maybe they'd still even get to their destination eventually. But I bet if I searched my street hard enough... I'd find an evelope in someone's yard somewhere, or under a bush. Probably blown a hundred feet from where it was dropped by the wind we've had and soaked through from all the Ida rain.
I'm so furious right now I don't even know what to do. People could have had bills to pay and the guy is dropping letters.
Anyway... my dad told me he'd take this letter directly to the post office for me, and I'll be doing the same when I finish the costumes for the third time. Because if I have to do those a FOURTH time, I want it to be my fault. NOT because my idiot mailmen DROPPED them!

So once again, everybody, I apologize. And thank you for being so patient. Trust me, I know it's been hard. I have to be patient so I don't go to jail for assaulting a mail carrier!
 
holy crap beth, that is unbelievable. can you complain how your mailman to the post office? is it always the same person? i am glad you found out what happened. i bet from now on you will drop the off at the post office yourself or in a blue mail box. crazy.

i got mine on thursday. thanks so much for my cards everyone who was in the pumpkin swap. i like them a lot. cant wait for the costumes.

Oh my god, thebeth! I was just thinking it's been a while since you said you'd mailed your next batch, and I hadn't gotten them yet. I am really sorry to hear the troubles with the mail were on your end, not mine. :(
 
Ugh, what a mess, beth. I feel so bad for you having to do them over so many times. I'm glad you figured things out though. :)
 
ugh yeah... I think we should complain. I don't know who I really need to complain to though, you know?
And my dad told me another story about him too. He said he handed him a package in person with a bunch of our letters... and the package wasn't even for us. Not only that, it didn't even belong ON OUR STREET!!!
I wish I was making this up!
 
you need to complain. what he is doing is wrong and i think against the law. he needs to be fired and off the route of your street. he has no idea what he is doing.
 
thebeth, you should definately complain. Go to your local post office and let them know what is going on. I don't know if they will be able to help you in any way, but they can certainly direct you to someone who can.

We have a similar issue at my house. My mobile was on the property before the neighbor's across the driveway was so the sign with the house number is actually on the corner of his yard by the road. The mailman usually doesn't do it, but UPS and other delivery-type people usually give our packages to the neighbor. When that happens I will go over there and get them b/c he's at work all day and won't notice.

Please complain about your postman, though. If enough people complain about him, they will have to do something about him. Think of all the bills and cards and important things that have gotten delivered to the wrong people. Let us know if anything comes of it and I'm looking forward to seeing your cards.

If the mailman sucks getting it out, he probably sucks getting it to me.
 
Hey guys, just popping in to let ya know I got my Pumpkiny cards last week sometime.... I forget... But I loves them. Once we get the costume set finished I'll post all the ones I got. And Thanks ladypheonix9 for posting awesome piccies of our cards. I of course forgot to get scans of the ones I sent for the Pumpkin group... hehe
 
EEE! I got mine! I'm so happy the mailman didn't deliver them to the wrong house!

Hopefully mine will be here Monday. I am also waiting for my prize from Wolfie's Photo Hunt Spectator Contest.
