Have you just ever fallen in love with a pony?

I am not a big G3 fan. I have a bunch, but really haven't connected with any of them. I've been toying with the idea of selling/rehoming them.

Then I came across Seaspray. I don't know why, but she is absolutely stunning and called to me! I love the blue, and I love the starfish. I am searching for a good deal on one or two, lol.

Has there been any ponies that just make you go "Gasp!" and had to have?

I had the same reaction to seaspray! Such a gorgeous pony. The paradise babies got me as well. :purpleheart:

G1 Wind Whistler. Idk why, I just relate to her so much. Not to mention her actress seemed to be the most enthusiastic about being there.

Mm, for me it's been G1 Starflash and to even greater extent, G3 Silver Rain!

When I first saw Starflash it was as someone's avatar. At the time I thought it was a drawing, and I thought to myself "Wow, if that pony were real I'd really want her!" Her image stood out to me for many years, even though I only saw it the once. I about lost it when I discovered the Sweetheart Sisters and realized she was real! Now she's one of my prized ponies.

Silver Rain though honestly has to be the big one for me. She's just so gorgeous, and I have always had a greater attachment to her than anyone else. She's a part of my old collection so I don't remember how exactly I got her to begin with, but I can say an image of her has actually pulled me out of a panic attack once when I was dreaming.

Ohhh yeah! Lots.

I was that way with g4, I had never disliked them but I hadnt even known they were coming out. We had gotten a new offer with our cable service to get extra channels, which included the hub. So i discovered the show and was SHOCKED! We went to walmart after to look for the toys and I didnt know what to think. It was 2012 so they had just come out, I was blind sided lol! i just didnt have much interest bc 'what is happening, idk whats going on, confuse, halp, windows shutting down, ponyfile.exe not found' then I found Cherry Pie and went total heart eyes!!!! :lolpony: (not pony related but I was the same with monster high too, i was hesitant bc I never looked close enough past spooky dolls then saw Rochelle Goyle and ascended :rofl: now i have a ton)

G2 Princess Silver Swirl. I was not a G2 girl and then I saw her. Pure perfection.

It was love at first sight.

Gusty was always my favorite, she was the first pony i saw coming out of the Castle in the movie..! she's a white unicorn, with a beautiful shade of green (fav color back then, now it's blue) and also, i desperately searched for her toy as a kid...! I also loved Fizzy and Galaxy, both gorgeous..!

Quite a few, really. As a kid I really adored Galaxy in the cartoon and loved seeing her appear in some of the episodes. Funny thing is I never owned one as a toy.

If we refer to physical toys, I remember falling in love with the whole concept of the hair-do ponies as an 8 year old boy and wanting one so bad after seeing them in the store. My uncle got me Beautiful Bows for my birthday a few days later and I was ecstatic. I was also deeply in love with my UK Sweet Clover as an even younger toddler, I was taking her everywhere, to the nursery, birthday parties of other kids, my cousins' place, etc. She was basically my constant companion.

I remember when G2s appeared I fell madly in love with Berry Bright due to her colors and, later, with both Princess Ivy and Princess Twinkle Star when I saw them in the store. I only managed to get the former as a Christmas present to myself with my pocket money.

As an adult I feel any pony basically excites me. I am in love with most of the pieces in my collection, as I've groomed and restored most of them myself, something that costs both time and significant money.

The rainbow baby ponies. Mimic, Blueberry baskets. Don't you hate it when you fall in love with a pony and it turns out they are expensive or hard to find?

We call her Pearl here, but she was one of my childhood favourites. I still have her dragon. Really wish I wasn't a stupid teenager who gave her up :(
I feel you. I also miss my childhood Pearl! Mine didn't come with a companion, just her wand and princess hat and she's the only childhood pony I really regret selling (on here two years ago or so).

I still have about half of my childhood herd and I don't really regret trading / selling the ones I had never really bonded with, but Pearl is another matter.

Gusty is a big deal for me, but also every time I look at G1s Baby Bowtie and Baby Applejack I melt. That baby pose, those colors, the little bitty apple symbols... <3
