Thanks.
I have only one G1 pony, Butterscotch. Yes, I'm kicking myself for not keeping the rest of my collection plus the carrying case and stable, but I was 11 when I got them so you know how it goes. I really wish I'd kept Bluebell and Snuzzle, though. I asked my hubby to get me those for Christmas
I have kept Butterscotch in a trunk all these years and she looks fine, I think. Her hair is a bit messy but her body doesn't have any weirdness growing on it. I used to have my trunk in my closet in Texas (only place to fit the trunk) and now that I live in Quebec the trunk is in the basement but in the carpeted area farthest from the pipes (which are in an enclosed room). I am thinking it might be better to bring the trunk up and stick it back in the bedroom closet because I have tons of childhood keepsakes in there I don't want to lose plus lots of books.
The trunk itself is like a camp trunk, it has that wood "lining" and has held up great for the past 20 or so years I have had it. Before this trunk I had another trunk but I can't remember why I changed it and got a new one.
I have some Charmkins that have been in a baggie inside a tin inside the trunk. Things in there are inside other things like shoeboxes and whatnot.
So far I haven't noticed any damage. My husband has a massive (MASSIVE!) collection of Star Wars figures (a good 200 or more 12 inch unboxed and probably 200 in original packaging) in the basement in plastic bins. Probably not the best idea but I have no idea how to store them, there are so many.
