Gelfling custom pony! This creation features hair and fantasy film from RetrodollsUS!

This creation was inspired by Deet from The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Pony base used is a generation 4.5. I lopped the original ears off and made leather elf ears, gesso’d the entire piece then did full body repaint hand blended acrylics. Painted leather and hemp features around the eyes also, all paint work sealed in Testors spray sealer.

Eyes are plastic doll eyes I’ve had laying around forever. I don’t remember where I even got them, I may have received them in a random bag of craft stuff from a thrift store at one point. All I know is I’ve never had a use for them, and this was A EXCUSE TO USE THEM!!! Yay. The eyes have E.L.F. brand fake eye lashes lining the tops.

Wings are Crystal amethyst fantasy film from RetrodollsUS. I applied heat onto the film on a ironing board like the instructions instructed, to fuse the film together. I then painted veins on the wings with acrylics then glued them to transparent plastic from mlp toy packaging to make it more sturdy.

Mane and tail are rooted in flaxen blonde viscose hair from RetrodollUS. RDUS is the only place I can think of where I could even attempt to search for such a specific texture of hair, other than a local wool store lol. But getting it in doll-sized packages is so much better for individual projects.
She has stone and tiny glass beads stitched onto the ends of her braids.

Outfit- started off with the boots. They are hand stitched suede leather. Her first outfit layer is sheer lavender scarf material hand stitched. Then the over-layer is a very thin light brown stretchable fabric hand stitched over top. Last thing I did for the outfit was make her a glass and stone necklace.

Baby Yoda custom pony!!!!

So I caved into the trending bandwagon of Baby Yoda and made a custom pony! A custom this size would normally be worth around $35.00 but I used a HQG1C blank base which was $12.00 alone. So when I use HQG1C bases, I factor those on top of what I’d normally charge. And I’m only charging $5 for the painted blocks, rattle and bottle pretty much cause they did add a extra half day of work onto the time.

I lopped the ears off of the pony base, made leather ears, scalp and eyebrows for the custom. Coated into figure in white gesso surface prep, then did full body repaint job in the same hand blended acrylics I did on the previous gelfling custom. Tried to paint the eyes and blush as cutely as possible, sealed all the paint work with Testors spray sealant.
Tail is nylon mlp dollyhair in the color sour apple most likely. It was a unlabelled tuft of hair in my hair drawer.
Popped the head back on, and hand stitched Yoda’s baby robe from thin suede material.

Baby blocks, tiny carriage, rattle and bottle all came in a bag of plastic doll accessories I bought from a local thrift store. The blocks and rattle were originally pink, so I painted them all in various shades of green to go with Yoda. I also added “Formula One” onto the bottle as a gag reference.
Painted objects were primed with gesso then sealed with Testors spray sealant.

For these epic guys, I decided some large fakie pony bases were needed. So I used some beautiful fakies I bought from Walmart. Cut their horns off and coated their bases in white gesso for surface prep. Full body repaint jobs in acrylics, sealed in Testors spray sealant and mod podge cause Award Ribbon blue acrylics don’t react well to Testors spray. Both have their tails and manes made from wool from a local Ewe & I shop.
I drew out all of their armor pieces on large pieces of leather and then cut them out, did painted detail and sealed the leather armor work in mod podge on most pieces. Their black claws are hand sewn together.

Zacian’s sword is a painted wooden dowel with painted leather detailing.

This comical monster creation was to just let out my inner silly. I was mailed a isolated pony head at one point, with no purpose and I saw a cartoon on Youtube of a doll head with skinny legs and obnoxious fairy wings dancing around and it made me go Eureka! I figured out a use for that funky pony head!
So I started off attaching the legs and arms from a EQG doll, then got out oval pearl rhinestones for the eyes and painted them. Painted a rainbow on its cheek, painted obnoxious lips some eye shadow then sealed all paint work with Testors spray sealant. Added a 3rd eye upon a follower's suggestion! Added fake lashes to all 3 eyes.Teeth are cut from leather and hemp cord, painted then sealed in mod podge.
After that I rooted pretty pastel rainbow kanekalon RetrodollsUS hair into the mane, stuffed its head with glue then realized the neck hole needed sealed so found a red gremlin token and glued it in place.
Leg warmers are stitched in 2 layers of rainbow/unicorn print ribbons, arm warmers are stitched in 3 layers of printed ribbons and the skirt has a handsewn pleated cotton layer with candy/cotton candy printed all over it and a top layer of pink sheer ribbon pleated. Another follower suggested I sew beads on it do I did!
Pink dragonfly wings were gifted to me from Neo Tree but I added another layer of wings I cut from transparent pony packaging and bright pink fantasy film and glued them together.
Another follower suggested I make it a punk earring! So instead of the regular earrings I was planning I punked it up a bit. Added pink bows, black sashes/lace, and pink plastic bow rhinestones and a pink crown rhinestone.
And I think it's done! Lol. Another Mana parody creation! Gotta do these now and then.

This idea was inspired by a dream I had in October. I woke up from a dream one morning where I made a Princess Zelda custom pony from a slender elegant Sweetheart Sister pose so the following day I hunted down the pony base and hair online to get this project planned. I had also always been meaning to make a kid Princess Zelda custom from Ocarina of Time, so felt this was this right time. Always wanted to use a gen 3.5 base for her so I did. Then I figured, this set won't be complete without her incognito self, Sheik! So I made a updated version of a Sheik custom pony from a gen 1 bride pose.

Adult and kid Zelda have their original ears lopped off and replaced with painted leather Hylian elf ears.
All 3 have their bases coated in white gesso, full body repaint jobs in acrylics, eyes painted in my own style I developed. All 3 are sealed in Testors spray sealant.

They are all rooted in nylon dollyhair.com hair in the following colors:

All of their outfits are entirely handsewn. Sheik and adult Zelda have their manes permanently styled in hair gel method.
All 3 have acrylic paint detail on their outfits. Adult Zelda has painted leather armor on her shoulders and chest, both Zeldas has gold metallic jewelry details, rhinestone details and kid Zelda has a blue Ocarina of Time which is made of painted rhinestones.
Sheik has white leather wrapped around her neck and face.

Pony base used for this project is a generation 1 sitting pose with a generstion 4 princess horn attached.
Entire figure coated in white gesso, with a few layers of plain white acrylics, layers of metallic white and then few layers of white glitter acrylics. Hooves are painted in golden yellow and then a orangish metallic gold. Painted eyeshadow in my own style, then sealed eyeshadow and hooves with mod podge
Glued gems for eyes and fake lashes in place.
Mane and tail are End of The Rainbow kanekalon hair from retrodollsus.com
Decided to do saddle and reins for this, so it has its saddle blanket is the trans flag- individual layers of bias tape stitched together. Another rainbow sash on top of it with unisex symbol, saddle is rainbow fabric with blue cord and red ribbon hemmed. Unisex symbol also painted on the saddle and 2 blue rhinestone hearts.
Did trans flag colors for the chest strap from layered ribbons, but let the white stripe have printed unicorns on it! Embellished rhinestones on chest and rump straps.
Made reins for the face- strips of silver ribbon with tiny heart doll buckles. Added pink/blue ribbon across top of head and under jaw, a strip of beads on one side and one strip of beads each side of saddle. Embellished rhinestones around horn and top of head.
Added pink bow ribbon on front of head.
Crafted a Pride flag pole by gluing wide rainbow tibbon at the top, painted a strip of red to complete the flag colors. I then painted gender symbols and added a few rhinestones.
Wrapped magenta ribbon around the pole, tied a 3-layer bow ribbon. Gpued a wood bead at the bottom to anchor and then a wooden craft disc so it would stand alone. Painted the disc purple and with blue glitter acrylics then embellished the whole piece with more rhinstones.

It's crazy that I even decided to sit and spend an entire month crafting these one after another and posting them together all at once! lol. So basically I made all of the sin characters, Meliodas's favorite princess and their scraps captain from the anime Seven Deadly Sins. All of these are crafted from generation 4 pony bases, except for Hawk (made from a DG fakie) and Escanor (his base is a Cabbage Patch Kids fakie). All were coated in white gesso to give acrylic paints a texture to bond to and full body repaint jobs in acrylic paints. Eyes painted in my style, as well as their sin tattoos. All paint work sealed in Testors spray sealant.

Hawk has leather ears and tail bonded to her body.
All of their manes and tails are rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair.com hair in the colors:
Gowther- candy kiss & bubblegum
Merlin- Black magick, lapis sapphire, hematite
Escanor- butterscotch, chai tea, passionfruit, golden goddess and pumpkin spice/jack-o-lantern

Escanor's axe is made from wooden dowels, leather, beads, wire, rhinesontes.

Baby Fizzy custom pony

The pony base was a baby Moondancer that was gifted to me but it had plastic break down spots so I soaked it in peroxide to at least slow or stop the spots.
Coated the base in white gesso for primer, full body repaint in aqua acrylics, cutiemark hand painted, as well as liner and lashes. Cut out the original eyes and glued in pink rhinestones.
All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane and tail rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in the colors kitten/pussycat blend, diamond, sugarberry and dragongly. Ribbon tail to detail.

To kick off some spring vibes, how about a mommy and baby set of bee customs! I've always liked bees and bee art, so it's long past due time I came up with some bee ponies.

Bee-sama's base is a generation 1 SHS pose, baby Bumblehoove's base is a HQG1C blank! Both were coated in white gesso to give acrylic paint a texture to bond to, Bee-sama has a full body repaint in ivory acrylics, Bumblehooves repaint in light yellow. They have black paint details, baby has stripes painted on back and their eyes are painted in a anime style. All paint work sealed in Testors spray gloss sealant.

Wings showcase RetroDollsUS crystal amethyst fantasy film- I heat treated it with a iron and glued the wings to transparent mlp packaging.

Bee-Sama's hair showcases @retrodollus's Orange Marley kanekalon! Bumblehoove's hair arrived to me on a G1 Galaxy rehair I received in a big lot of pony toys.
I removed the hair off the rehair so I can repurpose it!

I gave them both black wire antennaes with beads at the ends. I glued a yellow string of pompom trim around the baby's neck and called it done.

For Bee-sama's textile details I went fabric shopping just for her! She has white and yellow lace leggings on hind legs with peach ribbons. I made her a yellow bodice from a patterned yellow fabric, hemmed it with flower lace trims and a strip of orange ribbon across chest.
Front leg leggings are stitched from a nice honeycomb fabric with various white laces hemming and a layer of yellow pompoms to make it pop.
Black pompoms detail the torso piece, with yellow glitter flower pieces, long brown ribbons, and gold glitter bows on bodice and head. Rhinestones added onto chest, briwn bone beads on sides of her head with a couple layers of black lace detailing, brown and black flowers on back of her head. Black rhinestones added to her face and red lipstick to finish.
