I know she's worth a lot, but i was wondering how much exactly. i've got one on hold for $90 >.< its gonna take me 2 paychecks to get her. but i saw one on ebay end for $60 some dollars.

Years and years back, I remember her selling for $40 something.

Value, I'd say it really depends on condition. If her eyes are free of chipping, parrots are nice and bright, hair is soft, and body is a nice green, you're looking at $90 and up. Go even higher for things like nice unfading pink in hair, no paint or blush rubs, iridescent sheen present on eyes. She's a really cool pony. I'm sure you'll love her once you finally have yours paid up and in your hands.

Ebay has been interesting over the past couple months. I way overpaid on a complete twins set a while back, thought I'd win for half the high bid I'd entered. Then, on the other hand I've gotten a number of sought after ponies for a steal with all their little accessories. Sometimes you're just pleasantly surprised when an auction ends. I wouldn't let that mimic auction bother you at all. Some ponies you pay that premium for, and then watch end lower somewhere else, others you get lucky and snag a deal on. It all evens out in the end. 8)

*edit to add*
I saw the auction. That one had some flaws, the seller didn't have much feedback and the pictures were very fuzzy. That definitely contributes to much lower ending prices. (I get some of my BEST deals from brand new sellers who take bad photo's - but it'***** and miss). Two others sold at $128, and $91. Thanks for this post. When I visit my family I think I'll be digging out my extra mimic and selling her off.

Mine is in "good" condition-- great symbols, eyes twinkly and hair is soft (but pink stripe faded)-- however she has some marks. I got her for $80 just a couple weeks ago.

i will say i paid about $100.00 for mine she is perfect ! we should start a mimic club for those who have her.

I paid $120 for my Mimic and she is almost in mint condition.

I paid $45 for my mint mimic with pink streak. I however lucked out and didn't have anyone bid against me, and the seller had like no feedback. So like FF said, you can get good deals from new sellers :)

Yep, you get the deal by accepting the risk. I've had sellers not describe well, package items so horribly they should have been damaged on arrival. or, have lots of hiccups figuring out how to even ship/deal with eBay. With experienced sellers with amazing FB, I bid more because I KNOW what I'm getting. I am paying for that level of service, as well as my item.

She varies so much, we got ours in pretty mint condition in the last 12 months for $75, she is lovely so I think $90 is top end but worth it if she is in great condition xxxx

I bought mine for $150 many years ago and she is super mint :yay:

bigmlpfan xx

If $90 is worth it to you to own her, then it's a great price. :)

Sorry, I can't really help on a price though.....my Mimic was a Christmas present from my husband. So I paid zero.

My mimic I was going to get was 110 dollars but I got a free one for x mas

When i was younger my grandmother brought me home a Mimic she found a thrift store. It was free, since she worked there. I am now selling my Mimic along with two other of my twinkle eyed ponies, and I think i'm going to regret it. I've been thinking about canceling the auction. I already cancelled my big brother ponies auction. I just can't stand the thought of letting them go!

I'm waiting for that thrift store find... Lol

I have one in very, very good condition (one pink highlighter mark and pink hair faded - nothing else wrong with her!) that I lucked out and found at a Yard Sale. She cost me all of $1 and was the first pony I decided to keep instead of selling to collectors on eBay (because I decided I wouldn't want to buy her back in the future if I did decide to start collecting). Ever since then I've stopped selling and started collecting for myself. She's responsible for my entire collection! :D

Awesome story Derpy! 1 dollar you lucky duck! And it's cool she got you into collecting!

Ha ha, thanks! Mimic is a very special pony to me. I would definitely spend $100 or more on another one if something ever would happen to her - I just love her so much!

..... Oh dear.... what are these thoughts of a Mimic army.... not good........ *can hear wallet crying*

I got mine at a thrift store with a chewed leg and horn bitten off oh and chopped tail for 2 dollars XD *is not helpful*

I didn't pay anything for my mimic either. She was given to me from a best friend. :) Im not sure how much she payed for her but im sure it was alot. Shes very pretty and hangs out in my glass case.

I sold mine (EUC) last summer for $70

we were literally going to foodbanks every month, so.. i made a sacrifice and sold her :(

if anyone has an extra mimic.. even if shes a little beat up... please let me know.
