well, I have been done my first custom for...well...a while now. I've been a bit shy about posting her for some reason. I don't want to suck, I guess. Please don't tell me I suck! constructive criticism only please!

so first, I will tell you a bit about her. She was originally a Toola Roola with a badly rubbed symbol and tail rust. She has been rehaired using hair from custompony.com. I really had no vision for her when I started, but I did know that I wanted her to have rooted bangs, as I think those are just the cutest. i think I would do them differently next time, as I made them really thick and so they don't lay quite the way i wanted them too...in fact all of her hair turned out really thick and the only way to keep it down, was to wrap it up in a bun, which I actually like, even though I had not thought to do that in the beginning, it was more of a necessity than anything, but anyways, i like it up like that. I didn't take any of her original eye paint off to be redone. Just left it the way it was because, being my first, I wasn't 100% sure I was quite ready for that, but will give it a go on the next time around. Her symbol. I picked a cupcake. I was thinking a cupcake, but then me and Maddie got sick with pneumonia and my friend made me some yummy vegan cupcakes and that made it official. and honestly, who doesn't love cupcakes??

I kept it really simple, didn't want to jump in the deep end quite yet, so I hope you like her. She has no name yet.

I think you did great. The hair is great for the work you described. I have never attempted to rehair but have painted on ponies and I am not very good.

Great job!!:apple::apple::apple: ME WANT SOME CAKES!

She's cool, Aqua. ^_^ I like the bun in her hair, it's a different touch.

She's very cute and much better than I could do for a first custom.

You did such a great job!! I love the way her hair is styled. :)
She's very cute.

Aww she's scrumptious!!! I just want to eat her up! I can't wait to see what else you create. :allecto:The only thing I could find to suggest would be maybe to paint her irises in her eyes a different color, since she is a custom.

she's awesome, love that hair.

:wow1:This is your first? No way. You did AWESOME! I like simple ponies :p

Now I want cupcakes too haha! Thanks >.< And the hair is amazing. You should make some more customs :D

thanks everyone. *blush*
I actually am going to make some more. I am in a special swap with a couple others for our birthdays, as they are all at the end of September and fall within a couple days of each other. So that is what I will be working on next!!! had a lot of fun with this one. I think i have a bit more nerve this next time around, and yes, StarBlaze, I'm gonna do her eyes too next time. I wasn't feeling very confident about doing eyes right off the bat, but I'm gonna not be a baby on the next one and be a bit more adventurous!

Wow Jenn, you're a natural customiser. She came out amazing, I would not have guessed she was done by a first timer. I can't wait to see what your next creation looks like. :first:

No reason to be shy at all! She is so cute!

She is so cute! I love her hair and her symbol is awesome! I agree you are a natural! I can't wait to see your upcoming ones!

Delicious. :circle: I'll bet she smells like fabulous, fruity shampoo. And I'm gonna throw it out there -- you were born to style hair. Will you do mine sometime?

Aww,I love her, especially the hair,it's so pretty! You should make a vegetarian inspired custom too, that'd be cool!

I knew I forgot something. becca. she smells like. plastic pony. and....acrylic paint. :-( I shall have to bake cupcakes very close to her and see if that helps. ;)

and I think if people at the pony fair don't already think we are completely crazy (with all the tattoo talk, side car antics, and flashlight strobe lighting going on)...we can always sit out front and braid each others hair. :D

hmmmm....I wonder how I would do that???? contemplation. it could be amazing....must go work...

Hi

I really love her hair style, it looks so elegant and matches the pony well.

:catfly:

lol. thanks SS! yep. I am sure this is my first. The fact that I easily spent 6-8 hours re-rooting her hair with a needle and dental floss, which after the first quarter of it started seriously cutting in to my hand to the point of bleeding and I had to remedy with a pot holder wrapped around my hand, can attest to that!! It was kind of....well...a fiasco. but the time paid off apparently. SkyCakes, from the Arena, also lives a couple blocks from me and came over and showed me a few tricks on symbols and let me vent out any frustrations on her, lol.

I have officially started my second custom. so far. not good. I'm attemting to do a whole body re-paint and I have had to SOS scrub her 3 times now to get the paint off becuase I have messed up on either the body paint, the symbol, and the last time being that I got one layer of paint on her and just threw her at my kitchen sink becuase I was so frustrated from the other mess ups. lol. It's funny now, but alas, she is still in my kitchen sink. I'll give it another go in a couple days when I am not in so much hate with her. :)
